(They did warranty it.) But I wanted something that wasn't pot metal and gonna break again...In comes the Iron Ape stainless steel lever. It is heavy duty. Fit the belt perfect. I highly doubt this will break dropping in on the ground after a heavy set.The price point is a bit high, but you get what you pay for. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High Price = High Quality *by J***N on November 20, 2019* Been powerlifting for just a short 4-5 years, been through one belt (was smelly so I washed the leather, which is a no-no, oops) and on my second belt now. However, the pins holding the lever on my 2nd belt kept sliding down/out (I think the belt came stock with the 'Contraband' brand lever I see elsewhere on Amazon, it looks identical) but the leather is still good. I got this buckle since the pins are covered so that can't happen.When this Iron Ape buckle arrived, I was really impressed. It's nearly exactly the same size but almost twice as heavy as the cheap lever-buckle its replacing, so I'm thinking it's gotta be made of steel as advertised. Production quality is awesome and the lever action is quite tight. I don't know if that's because I got so used to my crappy loose one or if this Iron Ape lever will loosen a bit over time.NOTE: The hook and support prongs that 'grab' the other side of the belt are just a smidge longer than the old Contraband-brand lever buckle it's replacing.
