It dries pretty fast and sticks relatively well. I like that it starts our purple so I can see where I've already applied it and how thickly. I'd been a loyal fan of the Scotch glue sticks but they'd stopped selling them in all the places I'd used to purchase them. These purple glue sticks are a very adequate alternative, and in a few ways I like them even better than the Scotch brand: these dry quicker, make less of a mess, have fewer stringing issues, and they adhere better even when using less glue, PLUS they are less expensive. I'd buy them again if I ever need more glue sticks, but for now I think the pack I got is going to last me a good long while. Review: Better than Elmer’s - I have been a teacher for 18 years, and just discovered the desertcart glue sticks 2 years ago. I have always been an Elmer’s glue stick girl, but I have been converted. I never wanted to buy “off-brands”, especially when buying in bulk, because half of them would come dried up. These are just as good, if not better than the Elmer’s and much cheaper! We will not be going back! Now if desertcart could create crayons as good and Crayola! ## Features - 60 sticks of school glue (0.24 ounces each); pretty purple color; dries clear - Effectively adheres items together, including paper, photos, and fabric - Ideal for school, home, and arts and crafts - Easily washes away from hands and clothes for quick cleanup - Measures 0.8 x 0.8 x 3.2 inch - desertcart EU S.ar.l., L-1855 Luxembourg; desertcart.com/pbhelp. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07H46MZWC | | Best Sellers Rank | #66 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #4 in Glue Sticks | | Brand | Amazon Basics | | Brand Name | Amazon Basics | | Color | Purple | | Compatible Material | Paper | | Container Type | Tube | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 12,231 Reviews | | Full Cure Time | 5 minutes | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00192233049113 | | Included Components | 60pcs of glue stick | | Item Form | Stick | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Weight | 18.14 g | | Manufacturer | Amazon | | Material | Glue | | Material Type | Glue | | Model | DP7-60 | | Number of Pieces | 60 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Dries Clear | | Part Number | DP7-60 | | Special Feature | Dries Clear | | Specific Uses For Product | School | | UPC | 192233049113 840324437836 | | Unit Count | 60 Count | | Viscosity Level | Medium | | Volume | 0.24 fluid ounces | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Amazon Basics - **Item Form:** Stick - **Material:** Glue - **Special Feature:** Dries Clear - **Specific Uses For Product:** School ## Images ![Purple Washable School Glue Sticks for Classroom Supplies and Craft Projects, Dries Clear, 0.24-oz Stick, 60-Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81cp+sulfLL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good glue for a great price *by Q***T on February 16, 2026* I've been using some of this glue on one project or another nearly every day since it arrived.
