I even liked the look of them on my truck. But here's the problem: While they're aluminum, they will not rust but they will corrode. BADLY. Basically the 2 dissimilar metals of the aluminum and the metal of the Valve stem will create corrosion when they are in contact with each other. So if you don't periodically check the caps, over time they will literally weld themselves on to the point where you can't remove them. I was able to use 2 pairs of pliers to remove 2 of the caps, but had to cut the other 2 off carefully with a cut-off wheel and dremel tool and saved myself the cost of new valvestems. (Which can potentially be very expensive on newer vehicles with sensors. $25-75/ea.) For a bicycle they may work ok, but I wouldn't buy these again for a vehicle. You may find yourself at a gas station with a low tire and no way to put air in it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very unique, but you may need WD-40 to put them on *by T***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2020* I am constantly losing my bicycle valve stem caps, so I bought these figuring I won't misplace them or forget to put them back on after I blow up the tires. I did have difficulty screwing the caps on, and I thought they might be the wrong size. I was ready to return them, but decided to use WD-40 on the valve stems and clean the threads with a towel. Once I did that, the grenade caps screwed on with no trouble. They are unique and definitely a topic of conversation. ### ⭐ TOO BIG! *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2020* I bought these to go on my 2015 Lexus RCF thinking they would be small and almost unnoticeable. They are not, they are about the size of an almond and would have looked very goofy on my car so I am returning them. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/97298097-winka-grenade-style-black-aluminum-tire-wheel-valve-stem-caps](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/97298097-winka-grenade-style-black-aluminum-tire-wheel-valve-stem-caps) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
