These aren't your typical flimsy generic plastic jacks like other people sell. Sure, the GENERIC 1/4" jacks may be a LITTLE cheaper in price, but they are a lot cheaper in quality. Who wants a cheap jack that will break in no time? The GLS Audio 1/4" jacks are very Heavy Duty and comparable to Switchcraft #12B and Neutrik. Review: great - great quality. they’re seemingly built better than every OEM jack i’ve pulled out if a guitar, and i don’t see there ever being any issues with bending or lack of contact. they’re a nice secure fit, they’re a good price, and they’re just overall a good choice. Some of the cheaper jacks have sleeve tabs (ground) that are flimsy, and the sleeve portion can start to rotate out of the fiberglass socket; if not rendering the jack unusable altogether from the start, this may cause issues with use (plugging in and unplugging) on down the road. I'm pleased to report that these jacks in particular do not have this problem, and I can tell a substantial difference in the quality and thickness of the metal of the tabs. These jacks are rock solid.
