That thing is terrible, , jams door, heavy and hard to store, and deploy, dumps sand and water inside camping unit, NOT a well planned update! These traditional steps are a VAST improvement over the Solid version. Door now closes, and we have a nice sturdy set of steps. Installed the triple step version, perfect fit, If you are tired of the hassle of Solid Step, get this piece of equipment, 2 hours work, and you are good to go! used a floor jack to lift the set in place, no hassle at all. I can't find specs for this.** A: Good morning and thank you for contacting LCI. The rise is 8". Thank you. **Q: I have a 2015 Grand Design Solitude 5th wheel. will this step fit as original equipment?** A: Our 2020 grand design measures 27 1/2 and this was 28 inches wide so we had to send back **Q: The original steps are 27 1/2”. Will this item fit my opening? 5th wheel is a forest river Columbus by palomino.** A: No. It says 27-1/2 but really needs 28. Mine was 27-1/2 and it fit but not great. Mounting brackets on rv are definitely spread out to make fit. **Q: Does this replace the lippert 24" radius quad manual step ?** A: I bought the Lippert steps from Amazon. Steps that came on my 2019 GR Reflection are no longer made. These replacement steps fit in all the same bolt holes and worked just fine. It is so much more solid than the factory steps and I am very satisfied with them. They look much better also with the aluminum step inserts. I highly recommend.
