The steel brading is heavy duty to keep shaffing from happening when they jiggle behind the washer when its in spin mode. Beeing a mechanic I like quality stuff and these hoses are like man jewlery....well made and durable... they are worth their weight in gold as a blown washer hose can do quite a bit of water damage. Replace your washer hoses not the landry room in your house...
