I couldn't put this book down - ask my wife. Horn exposes the slippery-slope that we are on as a species, especially concerning biotech engineering and research. There are many "Aha moments" as I read. This book is a clarion call to all who profess to be Christians to wake up to the forces that are behind the push for a one world government. He very logically demonstrates the meaning of, and spiritual forces behind, the many national symbols that we take for granted - the Great Seal and pyramid on the one-dollar bill, and the lay-out of Washington, DC to name a few. His argument is that with the use of these symbols, and others, our national leades have knowingly, or sometimes unknowningly, opened us up to spiritual attack from the "powers and principalities from the heavens" (Ephesians 6), and the implications of such. Horn dispells all the hyperbole about 2012 but logically spells out why this date is important and what we can do about it - it was not just the Mayans who saw this year as one of great change, there were many pagan cultures who made the same predications! He gives evidence that our country was founded not by Christians, but by people with very nefarious and evil intentions - despite what Glen Beck may say. Buy this book. Share it and spread the word. Horn is a top notch researcher, he is not sensational, and all of his books have been wonderful reads for me so far.Recently his newest book FORBIDDEN GATES (which is not yet for sale on Amazon until 2/11) has been flying off the shelves of Horn's publishing company, and I received one of the first copies. I have not been able to put down FORBIDDEN GATES either - it's packed with wonderful connections to other cultures, it's biblical and Tom and Nita Horn share personal experiences that make the book not only more fun to read, but also make it more understandable. And if he didn't, he still has written an invaluable book.Intended what, will you ask.Writing with so much passion, research and minute details about the "gods" of antiquity, and their current "offspring", one gets so RIVETED by story that one actually begins to truly believe that for a religion (under the umbrella of "pagan") to have survived for so long, then it must truly be the one religion to follow.One discovers that, indeed, "mainstream" christianity, i.e. as derived from the Nicean council, is nothing but a parody, a remake of an older, anti-deluvian way of life, way of worship, all elements are here.
