I would say that each compartment can fit at least 14 large tea bags vertically while still allowing room for one on top to lay flat so you can see which type it is through the glass.- The dividers for the 6 compartments are built into the box and are not removable or adjustable, but this is not an issue for me because as I said, they are large enough to fit my tea bags (even Numi and Yogi brand tea bags).Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. The price is definitely worth it for the quality you receive.
