It is a small lamp, not suitable for reading but very pretty to look at when its on or off and just enough light to see by in a small room without turning on an overhead light. Sort of like candle light. I put it in a spare bedroom, turn it on every night and enjoy walking past the bedroom as I walk about the house in the evening. Colors are primarily white and blue with lots of blue showing when it's lit up.
