How good it works? Don't know. If you are trying to improve the sound quality of your system, I would say give it a try. Like many other reviewers, I disagree with its price point. $50 seems too much. I ended sending my back and I explain why:The reason I purchased it was to decrease the vibration on my floor. I live in a second story apt, and I love to watch blu-ray movies at full sound, it is just great. I have a very good Onkyo home theater system for my current needs. However, I don't like to disturb my neighbor downstairs and was looking for a solution. She has never complained, good lady, but she mentioned once that I asked her and she responded she could hear some booming sound sometimes. Now I regret to have asked her, but I know it is not right for her to put up with this, assuming it is me and no the other ones around her apartment. The complex has a good quality construction, so sounds are usually not an issue. I don't think my walls are vibrating, but my carpet floor does. This product claims to reduce all type of vibrations, but it didn't seem to work on my set up. I reduced bass and subwoofer levels on my passive subwoofer, but it still not enough. For $30, I may have kept it just because it does improve the sound a little bit. I don't listen to my movies at reference levels because it is so loud to do it on an apartment complex, but I am sure a greater benefit could be felt by those who can afford to crank it up. For $50, I chose to get a refund as it doesn't address my needs that the product claims to solve. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lets you hear more subwoofer and less room *by A***T on Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2012* I heard about SubDudes in an online forum and they sounded like they might help with a floor resonance problem I was having, my home was built on a raised floor and there is considerable surface area and a material that can be excited by my double subs. A quick consideration, my subs are under my HDTV stand and I had just enough room for the additional height from the dudes. This meant I had to remove the spikes from my subs, well my sub has a downward firing port which would then be 'sealed' by the Subdude platform. I decided to turn them upside down which allowed the port to fire between the two foam feet. I checked with Auralux support who was helpful and checked with the engineers, they felt that configuration should work fine.As for the sound, I feel it is well improved, previously material with significant bass would cause the floor to occasionally 'play along'. After adding the SubDudes I hear just the sub, or more correctly the music. The bass now has more melody, and greater low end extension, it's performing as designed. The occasional room rattles from pictures on the wall or the like are also reduced, when one does show up a piece of moleskin quickly solves the problem. In conclusion I found the SubDudes made a noticeable improvement to my system and I would recommend them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well and worth the price if you don't want to build one yourself *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2012* I have had this product for almost 2 years now and it does work wonderfully. It definitely gives you a much cleaner bass and also eliminates some rattles in the room that would be caused by vibration traveling through the floor. This product is an excellent choice if you have hard wood floors in your entertainment space. I would definitely say that it is pricey based on the materials that are needed to make something like this. For me however, it is worth it because I do not have the tools nor time to build one myself. The reason I am only giving 4 stars is the fact that they do not make a bigger one for people with larger subs. I have a AV123 MFW-15 which is a a very large 15" subwoofer. My enclosure is 22.5" long and 18" across and this sub will no sit evenly on just one SubDude. I actually have to have two of them. Other than this slight, and frankly rather specialized complaint this product is excellent and does exactly what it is intended to do. Also, a note on the HD version vs. the regular version. It appears that for the $10 extra you are simply getting a nicer, more cleanable cloth on the top of the sub dude.
