Review: I've been waiting for this season. - I've been waiting for this season. I didn't even know it was out until like 2 weeks ago. So I decided to get this season. I just wish it had been released 8 years ago when I got the other volumes at Walmart. Here in this 4th volume there is no subtitles option, & no case sleeve like volumes 1-3. I wonder why. It was still fun, just with fewer monsters then before, & most of their adventures take place in Duck berg. I wondered about several of these episodes for a long time. Still a very entertaining & humorous show. Some things you never outgrow. At least that's how it is with me. One of my favorite episodes is (Blue collar Scrooge). Scrooge gets amnesia & learns what its like to be just another ordinary citizen of Duck berg. It was very funny watching Fenton imitate Scrooges accent for just a short time. & another episode is (Scrooges last adventure). After Fenton suggests to Scrooge to Bank online, Scrooge has a slight problem, & him & Fenton must enter a computer to track down & get the money back to the bin. Part of that episode that I do remember is the nephews unplugging the computer when they see Fenton & Scrooge on the computer screen in attempt to save them from a monster. One episode that I found funny was when Scrooge fought with his new neighbor. I forget the title of that episode. But it was hilarious. Last episode is (The Golden goose) Part's 1-2. When the goose accidentally ends up in Scrooges hands, he is thrilled when he learns he can turn anything he wants into gold. But he underestimates the danger that awaits if the goose is not returned to the fountain before the entire planet turns to gold. This isn't exactly a movie. It is part of the main series. One of the most interesting episodes in the series. & as usual with some things, Scrooge does get in over his head with things, challenging obstacles that seem impossible, which limits his desire to seek some treasures & stuff, & does end up having to let the most valuable things go. Love this episode! Magica Da Spell is only in one episode. & Doofuss is no longer on the show at all. My only complaint about this volume is, You get to see more of the beagle boys then desired. Which gets kind of boring after a while. I'm happy to finally have the complete series! Duck Tale's is a show that I grew up with. I have laughed so many times over Scrooges pickiness. He is truly better then those guys in the movie (Grumpy old men). Scrooge constantly losing him temper.
Review: Disney's DuckTales Volume 4 a 'Must Have' DVD - Disney's DuckTales animated television series was introduced by a two-hour special presentation, Treasure of the Golden Sun, on September 18, 1987, and ran for a total of 100 episodes over four seasons, with its final episode airing on November 28, 1990. Reruns ran until August 30, 1997. All episodes were enchantingly entertaining, each a wonderful storytelling; watchable over and over. This DVD collection is a ‘must have’ for aficionados. Why it took 10 years to release the final Volume 4 is a mystery. That Volume 4 was a commemorative Anniversary Edition by the ‘Disney Movie Club’ makes it all the more important to acquire and the ultimate ‘must have’. Disney released DVDs in four volumes featuring all 100 episodes of the series, in the order that they originally aired (except for the five-part serial "Treasure of the Golden Suns", placed at the beginning of Volume 2). Volume 1 was released on November 8, 2005 (containing episodes 6–32), Volume 2 was released on November 14, 2006 (containing episodes 1-5 & 33–51), and Volume 3 was released on November 13, 2007 (containing episodes 52–75). These first three volumes were packaged in a book-style boxset slipcase containing 3 slimcases. Volume 4 was released on September 11, 2018 as a ‘Disney Movie Club’ Anniversary Edition (containing episodes 76–100, from Season 4 aired September 1990), the DVD keep case sans slipcover. There is also DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp 1990, a film based on the television series DuckTales, released to theaters on August 3, 1990; DVD released on January 16, 2006 as exclusive to the Disney Movie Club and the Disney Movie Rewards program; and released on January 13, 2015 to the general public; not included in above four volume collection. This is also a 'must have' to complete the DuckTales collection.
