The rugs are near outside doors to protect the carpet. The problem is reduced but not eliminated. When we opened it prior to buying this, the weight of the mattress would mean or slid and pushed against the polls (which are meant to keep the mattress from coming off) and I was worried the weight of the mattress when the ottoman was open would split the wood. Since using this the mattress does not move at all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So happy.
