Product Description Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Volume 4 (DVD)Somewhere in New Jersey, three roommates with superpowers, Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad, unite to solve the neighborhood's unnatural mysteries. When they're not fighting crime or each other, they relax by swimming in their next-door-neighbor's pool.]]> .com Those ferocious fast-food freedom fighters Meatwad, Frylock, and Master Shake return for more outrageous adventures in this double-disc set culled from their third season. Longtime fans of Aqua Teen Hunger Force know that the Teens rarely battle any actual evildoers--their chief nemesis, Dr. Weird, blows himself up before he can hatch any of his schemes--but the fellas still have plenty of trouble to deal with in these episodes, whether it's from an Atari 2600 that can contact the deceased ("Video Ouija"), the hellish creature known as MC Pee Pants, who returns here as an elderly gent in a retirement home ("Little Brittle"), a robot babysitter for Meatwad (voiced by Sarah Silverman in "Robositter"), or the perennially pesky Mooninites, who make two appearances here (in "Remooned" and "The Final Mooning"). But of course, the Teens' worst enemies are themselves, and in the 13 episodes featured on this set, the boys manage to take on crash diets ("Diet"), destroy New Jersey's gas line ("Dusty Gozongas"), summon a monstrous Santa Claus with a magical T-shirt ("T-shirt of the Dead), shrink themselves ("Unremarkable Voyage"), and well, expire ("Video Ouija"). In short, it's typical Aqua Teen Hunger Force lunacy, abetted by several fun celebrity guest voices (Bob Odenkirk and Fred Armisen in "Hypno-Germ," Scott Thompson in "Dusty Gozongas," and Ted Nugent as himself in "Gee Whiz"). As with previous ATHF DVDs, Volume Four comes with a wealth of supplemental features for the series' fans: nine of the 13 episodes feature commentary from the show's creators, which are unfortunately plagued by sound-quality problems. But there's also the complete "Spacecataz," which compiles the brief clips of the Mooninites and Plutonians' ceaseless and ridiculous battles which open each episode into one short feature; a short film titled "Raydon" from the show's producers; "San Diego Must Be Destroyed," an amusing clip featuring the Mooninites which screened at a comic convention; and a featurette on the vocal talent as they record the dialogue for "Spacegate World." A montage of fan art set to the show's music and an intriguing clip for what appears to be the Aqua Teen Hunger Force theatrical feature (titled "Send Us Money for This") round out the offbeat extras. -- Paul Gaita

Weenie wraps, burger drops, burrito cakes, and turkey muffins
If you enjoyed the first three seasons of Aqua Teen Hunger Force as much as I did, get ready for some changes in Season Four: some good, some bad.The 'Play All' function doesn't work properly ... on purpose. If you select 'Play All', the DVD literally does that, all the episodes at once in small squares on a single screen. It's very annoying. So each episode has to be played individually, and the Off/On selection for Commentaries has to be selected each time also. I prefer to select all episodes and kick back rather than having to mess with the remote.Second, there are no Dr. Weird intros. The episode intros involve an ongoing skirmish between the Mooninites and the Plutonians. In the extras on the second DVD, you can play this skit in full.In addition, the boys start dropping the f-bomb (which is beeped out) more often, instead of using the word 'Freakin' as they did in the first three sets. The plotlines are darker and bloodier, and there are fewer 'aliens'. I miss special characters such as Happy Time Harry, Willie Nelson, and The Wisdom Cube, though we meet wrench monsters briefly in 'Dusty Gozongas'.DISC ONE:1) Video Ouija - Master Shake kills himself to torment Meatwad as a dead person in his video game. Frylock hires a chicken witch doctor to resurrect him.2) Unremarkable Voyage - Frylock makes a shrink ray. Shake shrinks everyone but makes the TV and a hot dog bigger. At the end, Carl's crabs get "enhanced".3) Mooninites 3: Remooned - Ignignot and Err steal Ignignot's uncle Cliff's government check and try to cash it on earth. Frylock reverses the rays on the microwave.4) Gee Whiz - A billboard is put up that the town sees a picture of Jesus in, but the ATHF can't say 'Jesus' because its not politically correct. Later, it turns out to be Ted Nugent.5) Edorn - Shake gets an e-Helmut, and starts to add new features. It weighs a ton and doesn't do anything that a cell phone doesn't do. Carl gets the extra e-helmet and downloads farm porn.6) Little Brittle - the diaper wearing Spider is back (MC Pee Pants, Sir Loin), but he's back as Little Brittle and the C-Bag. This time he's in the form of an old man in a nursing home.7) Robositter - Frylock and Shake have to get jobs, so Frylock builds a babysitter for Meatwad.DISC TWO:1) Mooninites 4: The Final Mooning - The Mooninites sell a Moonmaster pyramid marketing scheme to Meatwad, Shake, and Carl.2) The South Bronx Parasite Diet - Carl goes on a diet, but doesn't realize the nutrition bars he's eating are filled with parasites.3) Dusty Gozongas - A stripper working for the city comes to repair the gas pipes Shake pulled up. Wrench monsters come from space to get Dusty to dance.4) T-Shirt Of The Dead - Shake steals Osiris's T-shirt but Meatwad washes and shrinks it. Now only Meatwad can wear it, and he uses its power to summon the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus, among others. Very funny!5) Hypno Germ - Shake gets hypno germs from sitting on a gas station toilet. The antidote is Mexican jumping beans, and the beans and germs hold a play in Shake's mind.6) Spacegate World - While the ATHF vacation in Panama, Carl gets lonely. He goes over to the ATHF's house to make long distance calls and meets both Rudy the robot and Frylock's Spacegate, which steals skin.-- Extras include the full Spacecataz skit with the Mooninites and Plutonians, a really stupid homemade skit called Raydon, some ATHF animation to rap music, fan art, and scenes from behind the microphone.Even though this fourth set doesn't quite measure up to the first three, its still one of the funniest, and strangest, cartoons you will ever find. If you are just now introducing yourself to Aqua Teen Hunger Force, I strongly recommend picking up the first three seasons first. Enjoy!

A Fantastic Masterpiece
I love this show and a lot of the episodes are my favorite in this box set, the classic trio of a french fry guy, a meatball, and shake (of what flavor is anyone's guess) continue to live in their little neighborhood which is comprised of them and a guy named Carl who can't seem to move out away from them. By far out of the first three this one is my top favorite what I do like about the show at this point is that they replaced the Dr. Weird openings with this war between the Plutonians and the Mooninites which they call Spacecataz. Now don't get me wrong I love Dr. Weird, he's number one on my list of favorite characters on the show next to Frylock but judging from what I saw in volume three, they were running out of ideas for him so it's a great change from the usual Dr. Weird openings to this full fledged war. Anyways according to the description of the DVD package there is a Play All joke which takes random episodes from the two discs of the box set and made a collection in one screen space. However, for the idiots that wrote those one star reviews on this site, there is another solution; instead of having to hit play on your remote for every single episode that is done. Try this, select an episode that you want to start form like episode one on the disc, hit your replay button to "DISC" and there you go, a makeshift play all option for ya. Of course it would help if your DVD player isn't one of those super picky ones that say "Screw you I'm not replaying this crap!" then it should work, even better it doesn't have that stupid "Warning sign from around the world" thing so the only thing you should skip is the fake play all thing. Overall I give the show a 10 out of 10 and the DVD a 9.5 out of 10, the show is amazing and I had to deduct a small amount of points of for the play all joke but that is not much of a threat to consider removing a whole point or more as a result the DVD itself as a whole gets a 19.5 out of 20. I would highly recommend any ATHF fan this collection, you will be satisfied guaranteed just be sure to not laugh so hard that your head actually falls off and/or explodes.

My second favorite season, close on the heals of season 3
While each season of ATHF has its gems and usually a couple of clunkers, this is right behind season 3 for sheer inventiveness and lunacy. While some might argue that season 2 was the most consistent, I'd rather see ATHF swing for the fences of insanity, strike out a few times, but knock it out of the park others. I'll put up with a couple of dopey episodes for the great ones that make me laugh until it hurts while my brain explodes from the mix of high, low and insane humorFor me, the genius episodes in Season 4 include; `Video Ouija',`Dusty Gonzangas', and `Hypno Germ' and are closely followed by `Unremarkable Voyage', `E-Dork', T-shirt of the Undead', and `Spacegate World'.Overall, the series has worn off a just bit for me from when I was first blown away by it's sheer dada-esque insanity, but the best episodes still transcend to inspired, sublime levels of bizarre, gross, tweaked humor, leaving you both laughing out loud and shaking your head at the audacity and bravery of the storytelling. When your starting premise is a giant talking shake, fries, and wad of meat living in suburban New Jersey, USA how wrong can you go? If you like strange, gonzo humor (Monty Python would be my generation's touchstone) and/or out-there adult animation, you owe it to yourself to give this a try -- and give it a couple of episodes to let your head get into what the creators are doing.
