Yes, smaller women will have to double the belt around (I have a ~25 inch waist and this works well). But, more importantly, this little bag handily fits my minimalist wallet, lipstick, breath mints, keys, large phone, and S&W Bodyguard 380 without stressing, bulging, or printing. From those experiences, I know I love hip bags but they've been lacking. The hip bag was only big enough for my wallet and small toiletries; I needed a belt clip for my phone. The hip holster kept sliding around and the pockets were hard to access.This is perfect. The small pocket fits my money clip perfect. The bigger pocket in front is easy access for my phone (Galaxy S6 with an otterbox case). The zip pockets are a little hard to access. I appreciate that there are two. I have my keys tied on a lanyard onto the ring and a tote inside the front zip pocket. Toiletries like chapstick, lip balm in the back. The pockets are tight, I tried to put my phone in one of the zips but they're deep and it takes a lot of fishing.The belt and pocket are really flat on me. I have baby gates and the other bags always hit the sides or something.
