As these types of smocks/bibs go, baby/toddler slips their arms through the sleeves, and there's velcro at the back of the neck to make the smock stay on. Ordered three more of these (in various prints). Unlike the first order where the velcro was sewn on, the second more recent order had only adhesive on the velcro backings. So when you wash them, the velcro can come off. To save yourself a headache, wash the smocks in a mesh bag so you don't have to go through all the laundry to find the missing velcro piece. Haha. I stuck the velcro back on and then for good measure, hand-sewed a few stitches (got lazy) or within the perimeter (ok, didn't have time for this after the first one) to secure it. Still holding up well. Just know you might have to sew the velcro on.=====Original review: I'd recommend this.Pros:Washes well (mesh bag, gentle cycle, and air dry)Velcro closure (quick and easy, which is convenient and practical with a wriggly or hangry baby)Despite some of the reviews that said the quality was lacking and the smock threading didn't last, ours seems to be well-made and has lasted months of washing (and still going). I bought several of another brand (starts with B) but those tie at the neck and sometimes our baby doesn't have the patience to wait for us to tie it. So we use this one far more, which means more frequent washing, but still holding up well.It is a bit big on her, but that's ok. There's room to grow into it. And the sleeves have elastic so we pull them up so they don't get in her way.Cons:If there's one con, it's that due to the water resistant nature of the material, it traps heat. So sometimes the baby gets warm and sweaty. Most of the time, this is not an issue. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Just okay *by T***I on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2021* Very thin, but does the job. Basically just a translucent piece of thin plastic, a step up from a (more or less fitted) poncho. Only used it a handful if times and washed it maybe 3x. It held up okay for the first 2 washes (delicate cycle in its own garment bag) but the third time, I accidentally put it in the dryer on low heat for a short time and it looks like it's about to fall apart. (It says hand wash only - well, that wasn't going to happen. Anyone raising a baby without a full-time nanny does not have time to hand wash anything, much less a smock with pockets and lots of nooks and crannies to trap food.) Also discolored from the food. The pocket only rarely actually catches anything but I don't fault the manufacturer for that. Paw Legend seems much better constructed, thicker, and actually a few dollars cheaper. This one did fit my 18 lb baby slightly better, as the Paw Legend ones are bigger, but both are velcro closure and large enough to put over the straps in the high chair, which helps keep them clean. The neck on both brands is too wide and not adjustable, so I have to use a bib on top of it to keep the top of the shirt clean(er).
