Like many others of similar shape that have been found, this "OOPART" (Out of Place Artifact) has been attributed to a local native culture called Tolimas who lived there between 300 B.C. and 1550 A.D. and was believed to be the reproduction of an insect. Some experts have said that even though their designs do not appear to have a "power plant", these objects meet technical specs for modern military aircraft. Some archeologists will rather say that the Tolimas chose to depict "flying insects" with aerodynamic features such as the ones we have before our own eyes.
