I used cold tap water rather than ice water. I felt that was better for my dog. I finally found this Pet Travel insulated bottle. It’s amazing. It’s very easy and quick to open. Jax love’s to drink his water from the sleeve that this bottle comes with. On a hot day, Jax’s water stays cool, we couldn’t believe it! I really like the simple and modern design of the bottle and it’s well-made. It’s a good size for my 55lb dog. It keeps the water cold, my dog has no trouble using the plastic bowl, and I can pour the leftover water back into the bottle. I also like the rubber grip on the bottle. I haven’t used the clip to hang the bottle yet but it seems sturdy.A few improvements would be beneficial but they’re not show stoppers for me. The lid extends so far down the bottle that it’s a bit awkward to grip the bottle to screw/unscrew it. Also, the lid is not insulated so condensation forms on the top of the lid (where it covers the opening of the bottle) when you have ice water inside.
