Review: Easy Fitment/Works Great - Put new Walker factory style/layout exhaust system on '05 Escape V6. Came time for what style clamps and didn't want to use the type of horseshoe type clamp that heavily crimps the pipe and won't let exhaust ever come apart again without cutting off. I went with these stainless 2-14" lap band clamps that work with the (factory) exhaust size or even aftermarket exhaust needed/installed for your vehicle. Just measure the outside diameter of smaller pipe that goes inside the larger pipe for the size pipe needed. Have good overlap of both pipes to hold strong, without pipes slipping apart. Will purchase and use again on all my exhaust pipes.
Review: Ditch the U-bolt clamps! - Wish I'd found this before using the U-bolt exhaust clamps. The U-bolt type will leak, get loose and deform the pipe and muffler spigots making it very difficult to pull apart. Even with the muffler spigots crimped by the U-bolt clamps this stepped band clamp, with a little Red Hi-Temp RTV is better and more convenient than welding. Rock solid connection of my 2.25" O.D. pipe to the 2.25" I.D. muffler outlets and no leaks. Excellent product, but the metal is thin. Seems like they will be fine and took the tightening torque but time will tell. They're stainless so they won't rust so that's a plus.

**Q: Gotta connect a 2.0 to a 2.50 ish maybe 2.53 just to be on the safe side? Would i be able to?**
A: No.  This is not sized for adapting two different sized pipes.  The 2.25" will not seal on either a 2" or a 2.5" pipe.  It is specifically made to join a 2.25" ID pipe with a 2.25" OD pipe.  That's it.

**Q: "i have 2.5 od muffler and 2.38 od pipe to connect which clamp should i pick?"**
A: This 2.5in pipe has a slightly larger end that's probably perfect for your 2.38in connector pipe. I'd wrap it in high temperature aluminum foil tape to seal it and then Clamp it super tight. It should work great!

**Q: Can i use the 3" clamp to mate a 2.75" od to a 3" od pipe? if not what size could i use?**
A: Can you get a 2.75 to a 3in pipe adapter from the parts store and take a close-hanger and a soldering torch and  use the close hanger to fuse both pipes together

**Q: What is the difference between the regular and 2 piece clamps?**
A: This clamp is for a butt joint whet the 2 pipes butt up against each other. No overlapping where one slides inside the other then a horseshoe 2 piece clamp goes over that.  The plus side is the pipes are easier to come apart in the future. Audi’s are known for this type joint.
