I love the descriptions and pictures. I love that it explains what a griot is. I love that there are modern people included in the deck. My only gripe is that there are small typos, but I can overlook those. I can't wait to get the other editions! Review: Worth the investment. - I absolutely love these cards. They include persons I have not heard of before. The color saturation is great. I will say though that the artist was not on point in some of the rendering of some people such as Oprah. But, beyond that, I am well pleased and these cards met my needs. Keep up the good work. For fun, I have my elementary school aged children read the card and act out the information in a skit. I like that the information is succinct and accessible. There are also plenty of historical and present day people to learn about that you might not otherwise hear of. As far as improvements, there are grammatical errors on some of the cards and the print is tiny (hence 4 starts).
