They mostly worked great so far after several uses! They light up very bright and I've gotten compliments from passerby. You do have to skate a little harder with these to gain and keep speed, but they mostly roll pretty well, and I think it's to be expected since the energy from the lights comes from the rotation instead of any battery.Installation of the wheels with the included washers was a little tricky, since it was an extremely tight fit and the washers had a tendency to fall or get pushed out while trying to insert the wheel. I worked around this by using a narrow flathead screwdriver to pry the casing apart from the wheel slightly so I could wedge the washers into place. It still rolled smoothly with them in.The only downside I can think of besides that is how durable these are, particularly in a dirty environment like outdoor use. One of the wheels on my skates has already started making some grinding noises in use and no longer lights up very well. I suspect this may be due to some dirt getting inside, but I have not taken it apart yet to investigate. Due to that and the fact that more work is needed to skate with these, an indoor skating rink might be a better environment to use these if you want them to last.
