A: Cable is completely covered by a Black Plastic/Rubber Coating. Steel cable will not touch or mark the Bicycle.

**Q: What is the recommended length to use it on two bicycles?**
A: The recommended length is a personal choice on how close together you want to park the bikes do yo want them rubbing together.
? I just parked the 2 bikes as I saw fit and used a tape measure to figure out the length needed.

**Q: How wide is the loop?  I'm going through a D Ring.**
A: opening is approx. 2".
