I have an older 5.1 surround system with a digital coaxial input and only have an optical output on my gaming PC. After plugging it in I then tested using the tool in windows 10 and confirm this box allows all 5.1 channels to have sound coming out of them independently. My music, films and games are way better for making this purchase and I am very pleased with it so far!You do not need to purchase a digital coaxial cable for this as it comes with one but you will need to purchase the optical cable . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Small box big help. *by N***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 August 2018* This small box does exactly what is says on the tin.
