I wanted it to be a little harder for the kid to push in and take out the pieces.Attaching and taking apart the purple latches to hold it together is challenging to figure out for my 3 1/2 yr old. We are still working it out. My kid keeps giving up and leaving everything loose, which causes the board to not stay together while he's working on it. In addition, I wish they were connected to the base because they are easy to lose. My kid keeps putting them away in the base with all the other pieces rather than use them to close the toy together.Bottom Line: This is okay, but it could be better. There may be better versions of this toy out there, but I haven't tried others so I couldn't be sure. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good practice for colors and shapes. The eyes make great wheels and the half circle frowns, triangles for a wink. She knows her shapes and colors but this is still good eye hand and pincher practice even if she had mastered the intended skill. I wish I could buy more cards and shapes to keep her interested for a little longer. For the price it’s ok, although I see it as something we’ll be sharing with a younger cousin soon.
