Review: Four Stars - Baught a hidden hitch what i received draw tie so 4 stars instead of 5
Review: Fits great and looks unobtrusive on my 2010 Hyundai Accent - Fits great and looks unobtrusive on my 2010 Hyundai Accent. If you are buying this, I'm assuming you're "handy". This is going to be key to avoid frustrations... In my case, I just added the hitch to a car bought new in September 2009 and now has over 126k miles on it almost 6 years later. With that in mind, I expected some work would have to be put into installing this thing... and it did. The kit comes with 2 sizes of bolts, a brassy coated set and a thicker black coated set. The brassy coated ones were what I needed. The first bit of grief was getting the bolt to catch the threads in the car frame... it took me over 10 minutes to get the first one in... I chalked it up to undercoating, asphalt debris, rust, etc. I started to suspect incorrect thread size as well, but when I tried another bolt hole the process was a little better. I ended up putting some bearing grease on the bolt, wrenching it down and then backing it out to wipe off the grease before final assembly. Oh, and as far as assembly? It all fits perfectly from bolt holes to contour of the body.. Due to the hard wrenching I needed to get these bolts in, I realized that the limited hand space wasn't giving me enough travel on my socket wrench. I decided to just remove the entire bumper cover and be done with it... best decision ever. With enough space now exposed, I was able to finish the job quickly and get this thing mounted properly.
