The ebook lacks a biography or explanation anywhere of who this author is and what her credentials are to justify her expertise in presenting these recipes. Even her author page on Amazon is skimpy and there it says she has a soap business and she teaches but no business name is given so it lacks credibility.Oddly the measurements vary from ounces to grams to volume, this should be standard and it is should be in weight not volume.There is no explanation of what an essential oil is, something very basic to include. She also refers to vanilla cookie essential oil which is impossible, that's a fragrance oil and any soap maker or skin product maker should know that.Also important is it never says she created these formulas, so I am starting to suspect she culled them from the internet. For example the recipes lack any cohesion. For examle some have 2 parts butter to 1 part coconut and 1 part light oil while another has 1:1 ratio of butter to coconut oil and another has 1/2 cup coconut oil to 2 Tbsp shea butter, this makes no sense! These are all different products that will not produce the same type of product in the end. In the beginning she says that body butters are "sticky, oily, and greasy" then on the next page she says that these are designed to absorb into the skin and NOT be greasy. Which is it?The grammar is poor and in broken English. Grammar errors also exist on her Amazon author page.I do not trust this book and will not be using these recipes. ### ⭐ Recipes for disaster! *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2019* I’d give it no stars if I could. I bought this book and returned for a refund shortly after. Most of the recipes are unsafe as is. This writer clearly has no training or any education on essential oils, herbalism or formulating. Recipes included water based ingredients without proper emulsifiers or preservatives. There’s also no advice or warnings given for the essential oils used. No mention of phototoxicity when using certain citrus oils. Recipes are very sloppy and there is no continuity in measurements. She uses drops and teaspoons in some recipes and then switches to grams. If you have an understanding of aromatherapy and formulation then this book could be used to get ideas. But you’d have to reformulate the recipes to make them safe. If you are new and just learning, stay far away from this recipe for disaster! The recipes are very confusing. The author goes from using metric measurements in one recipe to using standard (or English/American) measurements in others. The grammar is poor and difficult to follow. There is one recipe where she instructs you to prepare a water bath, but she never says what you are to do with the water bath. And as other commenters have stated, she suggests the use of ingredients (like fruit and plain water, not distilled water) which can lead to contaminants, like mold, in the product.
