Shame the target ships can't be armed themselves and fire at any approaching craft.Ugh ! and the poor people living in the houses and boats surrounded by floating sewage and rubbish in water that can carry no fishlife.What happens to the money made by the pirates after they sell the cargoes and other monies ? Who gets the financial advantage of it ? Who are the men at the top of the chain ? Obviously not the population ashore and I expect only a small percentage goes to the pirates actually risking their lives and freedom for someone higher up.Perhaps the merchant ships should be closely convoyed from far out at sea sailing in convoy accompanied by several smaller gunships who would sail close to the ships and fire at their chief officer's will at any closely approaching craft.
