He would fall under the scope of Big and Tall. My usual problem is, if I find a shirt that will fit him across the shoulders it is too short and the sleeves are not nearly long enough. That was not the case with this hoodie. It fit him perfectly. The material is very much like a T-shirt, but still heavy enough to take some wear and tear. I ordered 2 of these and one was absolutely perfect. The other had a 2 inch hole in the side where the seam was not sewn. I am handy enough with a sewing machine for this not to be a problem, but I gave the product a 4 star for this quality control issue. I do plan to order more, because the fit was so great, and they are inexpensive. Their sizing chart fits as a expected, I will say that the sleeves are a bit smaller then I expected. But by no means are they too small. The fabric is what you would expect from a T shirt. My first use of the XL Black was for a Wisconsin Badger game. It was a sunny 70 degrees in the after noon and turned upper 50s by the night out. When I was too warm I rolled the sleeves up and was still comfortable, and when it cooled just roll them back down.
