First of all, they really aren't very soft. Granted, your child will be hitting something round instead of something pointed, but they are small and hard. Secondly, the adhesive doesn't really work. They wouldn't fall off, they stick well, but it was extremely easy for my toddler to remove them, which he did as soon as he spotted them. He removed every single one and handed it to me! hah Basically not worth the money, unfortunately. I would go with one of the products that is more like a "foam" tape.
