The pieces are normal sized so I guess this wasn't a counterfeit with small pieces. A plus with the pieces is they fit well together uniquely without ambiguity of if they're supposed to fit or not. I didn't sort the pieces based on letters on their backs because it seemed too easy, and this puzzle is easy enough with all the unique local areas. The only two negatives are that they are so thin and lightweight, they easily come apart when you move a section to another spot. Pretty much the first third of it is rebuilding sections after you moved them. I also wish the poster was smaller. It's so large that it's only slightly smaller that the puzzle itself. I think that's too easy, I like posters sized about halfway between box picture and fully assembled puzzle. To each their own. We love puzzles as a family. When this puzzle arrived , the pieces were so tiny that (my) old eyes couldn’t see a thing. The entire 1000 pc puzzle was about 14” by 9”. I guess she didn’t read the description well.
