Looks great; works well! “Island mount” exhaust fan with 3 speeds; light & clock. And we bought during Amazon “sale days”, so price was right too!

Beautiful island range hood. This was a perfect fit for our new kitchen, and install was very straightforward. Great price as well. It works as expected, and is much quieter than our previous hood.

Replaced a 30 year old down draft Jenn aire slide in stove with a whirlpool smooth top slide in stove. Needed a light and ventilation over stove top. Researched found island hoods solve my situation. A new jenn aire downdraft oven is over $4,000 and ventilation for new may need to be reengineered for new jenn aire. Bought a smooth top whirlpool slide in for $600 and vent for $400. Power is a plug in cord, not hard wired. May be installed ventilated or not ventilated using filters. Now I have ventilation and led lights over my stove top to cook. Only frustrating part installing was to remove blue film used to protect the finish until installed. Remove film before installation. One area I was unable to confirm before purchase, will shaft be long enough for 10' ceiling. Works for 10' ceiling, no issues. Little noisy on high, has a strong suction to remove cooking fumes and humidity. Vents removable and dishwasher safe.

Very beautiful hood range. I like the look of the stainless steel hood and fits perfectly over my island stove top. The exhaust fan works perfectly and the lights are nice and bright. Very happy customer of Cosmo.

Final product looks great, works perfectly! But my contractor complained that it was supposed to be for "new construction only." more on that in a bit.... I have 10' ceilings and the extensions allowed us to bring the hood down to 36" above my cooktop, which is the max allowable height to meet code where I live. I think that's a pretty good height range. If you want 24" above your stove, you'll need to have 9' ceilings or lower. The fit and finish is good. The touchscreen is responsive and works well enough. I'm actually surprised that the price is so low considering how much of the cost must be in the stainless steel and other materials alone. So I'm not picky about the screen, just happy that it responds well. One thing (nit pick) that I don't like is you have to sort of "wake it up" by holding the power button for two seconds before you can turn on the light or fan. But if the lights or fan are already on, it responds instantly to any buttons (no wake up needed). So the only possible negative is that my contractor told me this is for "new construction only" because he had to fish wood supports up into the ceiling to mount this. But from what I've read (and YouTube videos I've watched), that's pretty normal even for non-new construction. Overall I'd buy it again, even for existing construction.

I purchased this hood fan to match my Cosmo Range. Install was a bit of a challenge only because it was my first time to do an island installation. I was concerned about the rigidity of the fan hanging from the ceiling but as soon as it was bolted together on the struts it was very solid and firm to the touch. One note on installation, the Chinese hardware can be a little sub-par...it’s very easy to strip the screw heads and also cross thread when putting them in. Go slow and easy. This unit comes with hardware for different units and installation needs. I used longer construction screws for mounting the plate to the ceiling. Another important factor is having to cut the telescoping chimneys down so the unit will hang at the proper height. I used an angle grinder with a cutting wheel to shorten each piece 5”. There’s an excellent YouTube video that shows how to do this. Power-wise this unit pulls well...at just under 400 cfm it gets the job done. I don’t find it too loud. Any higher cfm rating would be even louder. Overall, very impressed and hopefully I’ll remain that way for years to come.

Loved this at first...installation was a challenge but it looks great. I will say that the motor has an actual plug so unless your ceiling has an outlet installed you will need to install that as opposed to running a wire down to the motor. Do not install this at the maximum height recommended above stove or smoke will simply divert around the edges, completely defeating the purpose. It’s also very loud. Like talk at a yell to be heard loud. And the latest fail...after two months of use, it broke. Turned on the fan, it ran for a few seconds then made a horrible grinding noise and now nothing. Cant recommend this product as anything more than decorative. Making an update to this review: there is a significant design flaw that results in the motor fan hitting the motor wires which will cause sparking and potentially a fire given this is also a grease trap. DO NOT PURCHASE
