Beautiful island range hood. This was a perfect fit for our new kitchen, and install was very straightforward. Great price as well. It works as expected, and is much quieter than our previous hood.

We needed to install a hood for the addition of a gas range. Ordered this unit due to CFM rating and shipping time. We were under a tight deadline to get it and get it installed. It came quickly and without any damage to the shipping box. My installation was a bit more involved as i had to reconnect to an existing duct that was covered over during a renovation the previous owner did years ago. Thankfully there was electric power already in the same spot, just needed to add an outlet. The instructions aren't great, but that's where YouTube is helpful. There are a handful of videos on installing island hoods. Not this exact model, but they are very similar. My one gripe is that if you plan to hang the hood at a higher level you may need to cut the chimney duct. If you want to use it at it's highest level the stainless covers don't work without some rework. I have 8ft ceilings in my kitchen and if I was to install this as the directions lead, my hood would be about 15-20 inches off the top of the stove and directly in my face. I got it to work out with some improvising, but will need to redo the chimney to make it look better. I have not tested it with actual cooking to see how well it evacuates smoke/steam, but a piece of paper sucks up to it on all settings. The fan is a bit loud, but would only use the high setting when cooking generates a lot of smoke. I don't find the LED lights to be too bright/dim. In our situation they work well, adding good light to the cooking surface. This installation isn't for the beginner home improvement type, you need to have a good knowledge of various types of skills, but overall it seems to be a good unit and is pretty sharp looking.

Installed looks good and works well a little loud at full suction. now have to wait see how well it’s built I will update my review if anything comes up. But so far I like it looks and works well.

I recently got the freestanding Cosmo kitchen hood, and it’s been working well so far. It looks clean, does a good job with smoke and smells, and isn’t too loud but not very quiet either . Installation was easy, and the lights are helpful while cooking. Overall, a solid and practical choice, the only downside is taking off those blue protectors sticks that are nighttime and I still weren’t able to get all of it off.

Very beautiful hood range. I like the look of the stainless steel hood and fits perfectly over my island stove top. The exhaust fan works perfectly and the lights are nice and bright. Very happy customer of Cosmo.

We are happy the new 36" Island Range Hood from Cosmos. Looks great and it was not too hard to install with a helping hand. For those thinking of doing the same DIY project, place tape in the inside of the top opening of the lower baffle to avoid scratching the upper baffle as you move it up and down. Make sure you measure multiple times before installing the top plate as it determines the center of the hood.

Overall the product is exactly what we were looking for, or so I thought. It is a great-looking range hood, the same size as our existing one, which we replaced, and it had a touch screen and no buttons. We needed to replace our existing range hood because the buttons stopped working, so I went looking for a replacement with no buttons. I should have had more criteria. It is a very nice unit with some good specs, but I did not do my proper research on what I was replacing. Our current vent hood had an 8-inch duct; this one has a 6-inch duct. The current one has removable stainless steel valences that cover the hanging mechanism. This one does NOT. This is probably my biggest complaint and what made the installation so difficult. To install the Range hood, you must "stack" the two chimney valences, which caused some scratching on the bottom one. Additionally, they are too long to allow for proper installation. There is no way to secure the fan blower unit with all 16 screws and have the valences on unless you have very high ceilings. We have 9 ft ceilings, and the screw holes are 8 inches apart. The valences covered the top screw holes, but I could not raise them enough to allow the top screws to be installed. Maybe I am an idiot and would appreciate any feedback from anyone who was able to secure it with all of the screws. At this point, I would NOT recommend this device; spend a little more and get a better quality device. Get a hardwired one that doesn't have LED lights (these are very blue) and has removable valences. This unit is nice, quiet, and came packaged well. But leaves a lot to be desired.
