Do these contain wool? There are 2 contradictory lists of the fabric's content. One says no wool, the other says 25% wool.

Good catch. It looks like once you select all the options, including size, it shows the "58% Acrylic, 25% Wool, 15% Nylon, 2% Lycra Spandex" fabric content. However, I ordered the quarter sock style in the Charcoal Heather colors, and the socks I received (which look exactly like the product image) are actually, according to the packaging, 62% polyester, 17% wool, 15% acrylic, 2% spandex, 4% other fibers. Quite a difference from whats advertised. :(

What are the shoe size ranges for the S/M size of this sock?

I wear a size 5 shoe and these fit well, with no extra sag. However, there is a lot of stretch to the socks. I have a lot of problem with sock size 9-11 because they are often too big and loose on my foot

Are these breathable or wicking?

I'm actually wearing a pair of these right now!. I don't feel that they are very"breathable", but they do keep your feet dry. Part of that is wicking action on a hot day. But their real value is when the day is rainy and your shoes get a little damp. Your feet will certainly stay dry.

Is the top binding or loose? I need a non-binding (diabetic) crew.

The top binding is not loose. I tried the ankle socks for a few hours and had the imprints of the tops around my ankles when I removed them. No discomfort, but these socks don't encourage good circulation.
