Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Round Dutch Oven, 9 qt., Sea Salt

I have always wanted a Le Creuset Dutch oven and I’m so pleased with it! I’ve already made a delicious pot of soup. It cooks evenly, cleans easily and looks beautiful on my stove. I actually ordered this originally on the Le Creuset website but unfortunately, that piece came delivered with a cracked handle. I decided to order from Amazon. It was less expensive, and it came in perfectly! I am so pleased with my purchase. Expensive, but very well worth the price.

Lovely pot for a smaller side dish. It is not really big enough for many situations. My favorite size, now that I have 3 Le Creuset Dutch ovens, is the 7 1/4 quart. Most versatile without extreme weight or size. The Sea Salt finish is beautiful and matches my dining room décor perfectly.

After 5 dry pot roasts in my crock pot, I decided I needed this Dutch oven. Trying to convince my partner that I needed this expensive pot wasn’t easy. THE FIRST POT ROAST WAS ALMOST AS SEXY AS THE POT ITSELF. We’ll have it forever 😉. Do it!!!!

So my husband ordered me this pot for Christmas and it was a beautiful pot at first glance but once you looked closer it had an imperfection on the handle it wasn’t a chip but kinda like a big hole. You could see the cast iron through. It looks as the glaze was put over the hole. Well knowing how much the pot was I said I wanted it to perfect and exchange it. So we did an exchange on Amazon and the new pot comes in. It has pin size holes on the inside. I was like well maybe this is normal for le cruset. So I called an actual certified dealer (William sanoma) and they said that is not normal at all, it shouldn’t have any little holes like that. So we did a total return of the second pot. My husband went to William Sanoma and all the pots were perfect with no imperfections like that. He ordered my new pot through them and now I’m just waiting on it. The guy at William sanoma said Amazon gets the pots with the imperfections. I guess kinda like homegoods and tj maxx. Not sure if that part is true but just go to the actual dealer dont buy on Amazon. And I’m not sure how a warranty holds up through Amazon.

If you're reading this you probably already know that Le Creuset dutch ovens are the best ever - this one is no exception. I love the sea salt color and the large easy-to-grip handles. It's also really nice it comes with a metal knob which is handy for high temperature things like no-knead bread. If you haven't already made it, Mark Bittman's No-Knead-Bread is a must-make recipe for this. Also coq au vin, beef bourguignon, and all the other lovely braised stews and meats possible. It also makes a very nice pot of oatmeal!

Only cooked with it a few times so far but I have no complaints. Easy to clean and cooks evenly. I definitely will be using this quite often.

We've been cooking with this for a few weeks now and I couldn't give you a downside- It looks great, works great. Just don't use any scratchy tools cleaning it, soak it to clean and maybe a sponge. Also, get it on sale.
