I’m absolutely loving this powder foundation. I’ve never tried a powder foundation because I assumed there was no way it would work as well as liquid. Boy was I wrong. I put it on at 10am this morning. It’s now after 11pm and my makeup still looks fresh and as if I just put it on. It hasn’t worn off at all! Further, I have very oily skin and often apply powder several times a day. But I haven’t needed to apply powder even once today. Even my nose has remained oil free. I put it on dry at first, then put the other half on wet - but I didn’t really notice a difference either way, so I’ll probably apply it dry from now on. The coverage is awesome and gives an even, matte finish on my skin while lightly covering some sun spots I have on my face. And the color is a perfect match to my light, but slightly tanned skin. Today is the first time I’ve used it, but so far I am blown away and wish I’d tried it years ago. The price is a tad high if you’re on a budget, but it’s well worth it now that I’ve used it. I’ll be curious to see how long it lasts though. Regardless, I highly recommend and am super happy with this purchase.

I usually can’t use any powder formulation (setting powder or foundations) on my face due to texture (sun damage) and late 40s skin. I have extremely reactive skin and nowadays can only use a few different liquid foundations that don’t irritate it, but they are all matte finish which I don’t like anymore because they settle into texture and make it look worse. So I figured I’d try this just to see since it was on sale. I am very pleasantly surprised. It lasted all day, and it did not settle into my texture anywhere near as much as the liquid foundations do. It also provided nice coverage and evened out my skin tone (I have a lot of redness and brown spots). My skin is also very dry, which is another reason I can’t use powders usually. But this one just goes on nicely. I like that it feels much lighter on the face than a liquid foundation too. I did use a kabuki brush because it made it go on smoother than the sponge that comes with it.

Absolutely love this makeup! It is a good quality coverage and leaves your skin looking and feeling flawless. You can apply wet or dry. When I apply wet, I use a brush. It is not a “loose” powder, so there’s no mess even when using a brush. It provides nice buildable coverage.

I’ve been using the Laura Geller New York Baked Double Take Powder Foundation and overall I’d give it 4 stars. This is a quality powder foundation that delivers on its promise of buildable coverage — you can keep it light and natural or build it up to medium or full coverage depending on your needs. I like that it’s long-wearing with good shine control, and the matte finish holds up well throughout the day. It’s even sweat-resistant, which is a nice bonus. The compact is a generous size, making it great for travel. It comes with a dual-sided sponge — use the pink side dry for everyday medium coverage, and dampen the white side for maximum full coverage with a more flawless, perfected finish. I personally went in wanting a light coverage look and it delivered, though I did find it runs slightly light so I’ll try the next shade up. One con worth noting: it does not contain SPF, so you’ll want to apply a separate sunscreen underneath — especially important for mature skin. How to Apply: 1. Start with moisturized, primed skin 2. For light/medium coverage — use the pink sponge side dry, press and blend in circular motions 3. For full coverage — dampen the white sponge side, press firmly into skin and blend 4. Build in thin layers to avoid cakiness A solid find for mature skin that wants coverage without a heavy feel!

Absolutely love this stuff! the coverage is amazing. This product does not settle into fine lines. A little goes a long way. I would absolutely recommend this product especially for people with aging skin as it does not settle into fine lines and wrinkles like regular foundation tends to do. This is definitely one of my better purchases.

This quality makeup replaces liquid foundation and power so it saves money, time and space. It doesn't come with a brush, I have a Laura Geller retractable one that works well, you can control how much makeup you apply by how far you extend the bristles. It is a full size product, it lasts longer than I expected. It has a good matte full coverage finish. It doesn't dry my skin, has a smooth soft texture, however if I put too much on wrinkles are noticeable. In other brands I can go with darker shades but I can't go darker than medium, when choosing color look at the model as opposed to the makeup color for a better match. Super easy to use, smells good, not perfumed or medicinal.

A lot of good and there's a lot of not so good. It does cover. I am 73 and I have brown spots. I can't expect a quick rub to cover them, and I don't, but you have to put on several layers. When you put on several layers you look like something out of a'20s horror flick. It was on so thick that it went into every wrinkle and the lines were more pronounced than I'm used to. I was pleased with the color, please with the coverage basically except for I had to use too much. This would be great for photos because it's so matte and powdery. I have dry skin to start with and this just made it worse. I'm sure it will work for others but it wasn't great for me. I hope nobody got too close to me because it looks like you could take a fingernail and scrape it. I think it was a nice try from Laura to do a full coverage, we needed it because the other stuff is too thin, but now I don't think I will buy it again. As I look in the mirror it is showing wrinkles more than ever instead of just adding color and cover to my skin. By the way I am a print model and not generally filled with wrinkles or terrible skin, so I was hoping this would be the magic I needed. I'm afraid I will have to go back to my liquid that is much smoother and much lighter. I'm disappointed because I really hope this would be my go-to product but as I sit here in the mirror I can see that I look like Norma out of Sunset Boulevard with too much makeup.

Apparently you need a liquid for that. It looks good on, gives you a slight glow, and covers most but not all. I’m using it as my summer foundation though, with a bit of concealer, because I feel like it allows my skin to breathe better. I hope this is helpful info.

I never thought I'd switch to a new foundation after 20 plus years of wearing the same one. But, WOW! This Laura Geller full coverage foundation is absolutely fabulous!! It is full coverage. It is very light and I can't feel it on my face. It's perfect! I will always purchase this one from now on. I am fair skinned and was naturally blonde (now more white than blonde, with ageing!) I purchased "fair" and it's perfect. What a fabulous find. Thank you to Laura Geller.

A great product coverage good and doesn’t make your skin dry

Goes on smooth and light.

I stopped wearing make up in 2013. So I’ve tried others in the last year but this stuff really works nice. I’m 68. Well I will be soon and it really does a nice job at covering my face and making it look smooth, although it does not get rid of my wrinkles. I was looking for a miracle cure, but I guess there isn’t one lol. It’s nice make up and wear light. I have to admit my daughter put me onto this.
