The Swiss Colony Sausage & Cheese Bars Gift Box of 8

I buy this twice a year as a gift because it’s just the right amount of items and very tasty! I recommend getting it for a quick gift giveaway!

I was expecting the contents to be bigger. This is a gift so I can't comment on the taste of the items.

I purchased this Swiss Colony sausage n cheese as a Christmas gift for my Dad. These really are quite tiny & a bit over-priced for the amount you get. The set came in a nice little green box that would've been nice to throw on a tag, bow, & call it good but that's all its shipped in so the shipping label ruins that notion. This leads me to my next observation: I'm glad I noticed the REFRIGERATE PROMPTLY label on the package. It's a little unfathomable that this cheese & sausage set comes with NO outer protection/cooler. Very glad I purchased this during a Michigan winter as opposed to the summer months! I don't know if Dad has tried any of the meats or cheeses yet; but will update when I next speak with him. Since my Dad loves these things, I'm glad I found this on Amazon. It arrived quickly but just keep in mind there's nothing provided to keep the product cool during shipping.

Excellent gift, very fresh when arrived

Update. Company reached out to me and was willing to resolve my issues. So while the item is still not good for gifting, customer service is prompt and courteous. If you are looking for appetizers for yourself, this may be a good purchase. The package was beat up, and opened. It came in the actual package and looks like it was dropped several times and is sooo scratched up it looks like someone slid it across the pavement. It also has my mailing label etc on the box. I bought this for a gift and obviously it is not in giftable condition. Can't remove my label without tearing the box up even more. 2nd. It is missing a sausage. The sausage that is there kind of resembles a cheap, short, hot dog, and not a sausage. (Have not tasted it, it may be good.) It is 3 oz. One cheese is super mushy and feels like cheese spread and not slice able cheese. (Again, I got it to give as a gift, so I did not taste it, it may taste good.) It is 4.25 oz. 3rd. As stated earlier, I bought this for a gift, and it states on the package and inside the box that you need to refrigerate the sausage and the cheese. It doesn't say, after opening. It says to refrigerate it at once for best quality. So yes, this hinders being able to wrap it and leave it under the person's tree until Christmas if it needs refrigeration to stay fresh. Also, I tried to return it and was informed by Amazon that it is not returnable or refundable. So the package is damaged, it is missing items, needs refrigeration, is not in a giftable package, and is non refundable or returnable. For a gift, I do NOT recommend this item. If you just want to try some cheese and sausage for yourself, it might be good.

Product was good.

First of all, a lot smaller than expected. As someone else pictured, I just noticed, all of these are about the size of a pen. They do looked bigger in pictures. Secondly, I wasn’t really impressed with the tastes. The meats were kind of just bland. For the price I was expecting a little more but maybe we’ll finish them, or I might just toss them. Wasn’t really worth my money honestly.

The Swiss Colony is always good : )
