Does the job

I have tried a number of disc brands (such as Black & Decker, 3M, and Diablo) and have found there are always trade-offs. Discs are either unreasonably expensive, or have one or more problems such as: poor quality abrasive that crumbles off the paper, cheap loop-backing that disintegrates and clogs up the hook surface on my sander, flimsy paper that rips off as soon as you snag on a splinter, or they simply don't last very long. I ordered a box of 50 for both the 80 grit and 120 grit Dura-Gold discs, and although they certainly aren't the highest quality available, I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a better value. The abrasive is well adhered to the paper (I've yet to have a single grain of it remain on a work-piece), the hook-and-loop connection is solid, the paper is strong and resistant to tearing, and they last a reasonably long time. ~32¢ per disc is a better price than anything I've ever bought at a hardware store, and they provide the sort of performance and durability that you would expect from much pricier disks.

Good sandpaper and the Velcro backing holds well, even under pressure.

This is really good sandpaper. The 80 takes off more material than the 60 I bought of the cheaper product. Definitely prefer this one over the reddish colored one on here.

The pad on my sander is getting warn, so the fact that these were able to hold on seems like a good sign to me. But what I am more sure about, is these last much longer than other cheap brands I have bought. Studies show that you get what you pay for in sandpaper, but I'm often using mine to sand down a paint finish, epoxy, or other materials that tend to load the paper quickly. So I like to buy cheap and replace as needed. I will be sticking to this brand for my sanding needs. I do use the sandpaper eraser to make these last longer, I highly recommend that for the frugal as well!

Good quality

Used these to sand a rough deck and was very pleased. The disks fit my 8-hole DeWalt orbital sander perfectly. They equaled or outperformed all the more expensive name-brand disks I have used in the past in both cutting ability and durability. Their heavy paper backing resisted tearing and grit loss, and gripped very tightly to the sander. I would definitely buy again.
