41011 Premium Engine Water Pump

Fit in like factory. Way cheaper than the parts stores around here. Quality is just like the factory one I took off. Functions like it should and no leaks.

This was for a 2003 Ford Escape 3.0 4WD. Item was a good fit, came with the paper gasket and replacement bolts (5) for the water pump itself, not for the mounting to the engine. It was okay because you shouldn't need new mounting hardware for the pump body to the engine. My experience has been positive for fitment and reliability is yet to be seen. Installed about 2 weeks ago with a very light coating of RTV to basically hold the gasket in place and to fill in any scrapes between the matting surface. Surface machining on the pump was spot on so I probably didn't need to do this for the seal. Will try and update if life of pump is cut short with mileage and time frame. Hopefully and I don't see why not, this should last the remaining life of the vehicle.

This water pump fit my 02 Ford Escape V6 perfect. You may need a new tensioner as well, and new radiator hoses upper and lower. It was fairly easy to install. Read a article, watched sev However, the Tensioner on my old car was trashed, so we had to order that part separately and then we were able to put everything together again.

Perfect fit for a 2001 Mazda MPV with 2.5L. I had the pump replaced less than one year ago by a local shop who used an inferior product from a local chain. That pump failed at the shaft seal in less than a year and was of a one piece design. This pump includes the housing gasket and requires assembling the pump body but appears to be a thicker housing material. Installation requires a 1/4" socket drive in my experience.

It worked so good that it blew a heater hose. Without the pressure release of the leaking water pump anymore my daughters car blew the heater hose. And back to dad's driveway it came.

Was easy install. Worked perfectly.

Update 11-21-2024 Leaking after only two weeks! Photo attached! Update 09-24-2022 The only reason I bought this again is because the auto parts store offers a lifetime warranty on this poorly manifactured garbage part. I was able to get a refund and it covered this purchase. The part commonly leaks not long after installation, always in the same place. Definitely a design flaw. This parts should come welded shut or sealed to prevent leaks. Paper gasket installed fails quickly at the lowest point just above the motor mount. Let's see if this part even lasts 30 days... Update July 2022 This water pump was replaced in April 2022. It didn't last. Gates water pump suffers from a defective design at the bottom of the seal. It leaks in the same place, every time. It doesn't matter if I buy the same exact part from Orielly's, Amazon or the smaller auto parts store. Same results. Garabage product never lasts. My advice is to switch brands. Gates needs to sell a sealed water pump as a one piece unit or weld shut the parts. That paper gasket SUCKS. Last Gates water pump I ever buy! Update April 2022 This water pump was replaced in November 2021 and is leaking April 2022. Not even six months later. Today a replacement Gates gasket was replaced. It's still leaking. I have replaced this brand watee pump multiple times. They just don't last. Update November 2021 It didn't last long. Water pump is leaking bad and needs replacement. Same make and model is being used. Purchased June 2018 Cheaper than just the water pump alone at the parts store. Better than just the water pump alone because this one comes with the housing which can pit and leak over time.
