Vandoren LC27P Leather Ligature and Plastic Cap for Alto Sax with 3 Interchangeable Pressure Plates , black

Like this ligature a lot and it's far, far superior to the one that came with my sax (an Antigua Pro One alto). It might not fit all mouthpieces, but it fits a Vandoren V16 A6 mouthpiece fine, which is what I use. It's very easy to use. I love the fact that the screw mechanism turns so easily and feels very high quality. It does fit snugly, but I like that, because you don't need to spend much time loosening or tightening it, since it already goes on pretty snug. Nice!

I love it! My old generic leather ligature from the 90s finally gave out, so my husband got this one for me for Christmas because I use Vandoren reeds. We were both amazed how my sound (which after 25 years of playing was already really good) improved dramatically. I also like that the pieces are velcro and are easy to change. This is a great way to improve your sound, especially if you have a student horn or just an old beat-up sax and can't afford a professional saxophone. I highly recommend it. FYI - I use a Selmer S80 C* mouthpiece.

Looks professional to the point I am fired up to practice everyday! Easy to setup with Reed and v16 mouthpiece! But kinda small had to wait for break in period to totally enjpy.

I can't really say I understand the differing backing plates, when a rubber band in a test sounds marginally different, but, I guess it's fun to have those options. They swap out with a velcro backing. Something I wondered about when looking at the pictures.. It seems to hold them securely while clamping down. What I like about this particular lig, when compared to the other's I've tried is it's clamping pressure is insanely even, and because of the material it's made from, doesn't mar the mouth piece. The screw mechanism tightens from both sides simultaneously, synching evenly, when so many others seem to tighten from one side or the other. This means no reed slippage at all, and a really satisfying creak as it tightens.. The reed is held insanely firmly, and because, again it's materials are so sturdy, you don't have that feeling that a twist on the mouthpiece is going to bend anything. It's rock solid. I paired mine with the Vandoren AL4 mouthpiece, and the fit was perfect with a 2.5 reed. Highly recommend.

I like this ligature because it holds the reed in place well and I actually hear a sound improvement in my tone.

メイヤーサイズ。かなりダークな音色になるので、ジャズやポップスに使う場合はハイバッフルのラバーマウスピースに合わせると音量とダークな甘い音色のいいとこ取りになって非常にバランスが良い。 旧バージョンを15年ほど使っていましたが、新バージョンもとても良い感触でした。 プレートの違いもオプティマムより明確に出るので付け替えが楽しいです。 YouTubeで情報を探すとイマイチなレビューも出てきますが、このリガチャーは一万円以下で買えるにも関わらず一生モノのクオリティだと思います。

A quality ligature which produces a lovely sound and a pleasure to use. Well packaged and ideal for storing it in. Would happily buy again.
