Good Product, Cleans Well, Sprayer Works.
Update 5/21/14 - The strength of the fragrance is beginning to bother me. The odor stays on the brushes and seems to build over time. Also it has a slight greasy/oiliness to it, this seems to evaporate on the brushes when they're allowed to dry overnight but I'd prefer a less oily product. I will be trying something different in the future. It does clean the brushes very quickly and very well and does not seem to harm my nice make-up brushes. I am therefore changing my rating to 4/5 stars.---------------------------------------------------Original Review: I gave this product 5 stars because it has performed exactly as advertised. I am using it on my new brushes (Coastal Scents) as a daily cleaner. It has a light clean fragrance that is not at all overwhelming and smells nice. I am fairly sensitive to strong smells so take that into account. For reference - the perfume section at the mall gives me an instant headache. It removes makeup easily with no damage to the brush. I use mineral pressed powder makeup. After I'm done applying my makeup each morning, I apply one spritz to each brush, then lightly circle the brush on tissue paper until the remaining makeup is removed. It removes the makeup very well, and has not harmed my brushes. It dries quickly. I put my brush back in the case with the bristle protector, and it is dry by the next morning.

Maybe I Just Don't Get It -- Amended
I bought this cleaner because I ran out of my previous product, MAC's brush cleaner. I absolutely loved it, but because I couldn't get it with free shipping, I decided to try something different. Well, this is different.Does it work? Yes. But it seems difficult to use and wasteful. I assume that part of cleaning a brush is saturating it, so it doesn't make sense to me to use a spray bottle (gotta clean the bristles on the inside too, right?). It takes several rounds, and a lot of product goes places other than on the brush thanks to the spraying. Since it's not used in conjunction with water (I tried that, too), it also seems to take a lot of product by the time you give it the couple of good soaks it takes for the brush to come clean. After cleaning my brushes twice, I'm almost half way through the Japonesque. Maybe I'm just not using it right. It *does* get the brushes clean, but I'll go back to MAC next time. It's easier to use, and one bottle lasted me several years.**later notes**Ok, I get it a little more now. It's not great for daily brush cleaning in most instances, but since I started using a smudgepot eye liner, this is the ONLY product that gets the brush clean quickly and easily. I'm buying another bottle just for that. My Sephora daily brush cleaner is useless on the gooey eyeliner.

I was so disappointed because I was really excited to try it out
First of all, I received this product a week late. I was so disappointed because I was really excited to try it out. But I literally received it less than an hour ago and I already tore the box open and used it.To start, this product works really well if you want a quick brush cleanser. I still recommend you clean your makeup brushes with soap every few weeks as normal. This brush cleaner doesn't fully cleanse and disinfect them like soap would do.Negative comments I have about this product is that it's messy, really messy! Oh and oily! I sprayed it once and my whole table was covered with this oily substance! It was all over my hands, brush handles, table, purse...etc. you get the point, it basically sprayed everything around me and left it all greasy. I recommend laying out a towel and wearing a glove. Another negative comment I have is that it ruined one of my brushes, my flat kabuki brush. I'm not sure why it only ruined that one but it did and I'm a big sad about that but life goes one.Point is, I do recommend this product to someone who just wasn't to use this as a quick brush cleanser. My white brushes went back to white. It's just a bit messy but if you don't mind that you will enjoy this product.

Works well for brushes used to apply liquid makeup products
This product works great at cleaning the brushes I use for liquid makeup products, like foundation, BB cream, and lip stains--I have another product that I use for the powder-based products (Bare Escentuals brush conditioner). I spray a few pumps of the product on the brush, let it soak in a bit, then start moving the brush in circles on a stack of paper towels. The leftover product residue comes right off onto the towel. Repeat as necessary then leave out to dry. Result = good as new, without a trace of old foundation or eyeshadow residue. The only downside of this product is the smell. It's heavily citrus-y, and honestly, I'm not a fan. But the product does such a good job that I can deal with the slightly chemical orange scent once in a while.

Extremely effective but it stinks!!
Holy cow does this makeup brush cleanser cleanse! One little spray starts to disintegrate the makeup from my brushes, even my eye brow brush covered in Anastasia brow pomade comes completely clean every time! It has a bit of an oily feel and a little goes a long way. This makeup remover is also extremely effective on my beauty blender sponge however, I noticed that my sponge started running "pink" which makes me think that this cleanser is so strong it's taking the pink dye out of my beauty blender. My main complaint though, is the scent. It literally smells like a strong lemon kitchen cleaner which is strange since I'm not trying to de-grease my stove! For the price, it is very strong and effective. I would recommend this product as a good substitute for the beauty blender brand cleanser.

Mediocre Product
I don’t mind the citrus scent too much but I don’t really like the oil residue that’s left over. Although it doesn’t last long on the brush after, I don’t know if this really cleans the brushes that well. I may not be using it again for my brushes and might just actually physically clean/scrub my brushes weekly instead.
