Lightweight and easy to use, great results!
We have tiles floors and three messy little dogs. Not a great combo when you are a clean freak. This steam mop is fantastic! It is lightweight, heats up crazy fast, and is as easy as vacuuming. The steam cleans really well and I don’t have to use chemicals that would be harmful to the little marauders. The mop pads are easily changed and I throw them in the washing machine, so no added waste. My home looks and smells simply clean. I purchased my Shark in January 2026 and use it at least a couple times a week, it has proven its durability.

Good steamer and brand name.
I gave 4 stars as Shark Steamer mop S1000 is a good product. My last one was the purple steam mop and lasted 15 years. It was used at least once a week on all floors and for mess. It has the power steam and wipe the dirt away. Fast and easy. I have sealed hard wood floors, lots of tile, have always had two large dogs and one messy spouse who seams to drop everything on the kitchen floor, and brings in mud. (The dogs are cleaner). Needless to say, it gets good use. Fill the tank, wait as instructions say 2-3 minutes, you will hear the steam and it ready. I like the washable pads and ordered six extra to have them on had. The last was you had to fill the tank, not removable. This new one has a removable tank which I like the idea. Easy to dump out any water remain to let dry. However, maybe because it’s new, I find the tank is a bit hard to remove, the instructions say to pull up and out. You have to just pull out. The button under the tank on the machine its self does push in to allow the tank to snap back into place, but to remove it takes a little figure power to pull out. It needs a tank release button to make easier for arthritis hands. But I am still sticking with this machine and brand, hope it does me just as well as the last one.

A good beginning Steam Mop for the price
I have been curious about Steam Mops for awhile now and thought for the price - why not? Pros: Price and general quality of product; simplicity of the "mechanics" of a steam mop, and watching the steam actually come out of the body of the mop into the pad; I've cleaned a few pretty dirty surfaces; but no tile grout areas like some of the impressive videos; generally I suppose I have a sense that I am REALLY cleaning something cause there's steam! Maybe it's just a mind thing <smile> you know the power of suggestion. Cons: cord could be longer; and the element that you fill with water is a little sticky to actually remove; it's almost as if you feel like your going to break something by having to 'force' the water bottle away from the mop; every time I do this - I still feel I may break it. Also; the pad to clean the floor with is large with most of the steam actually exiting right in the middle - so I have found myself using a basic "floor cleaner" from a squeeze bottle in order to actually feel like I am getting my floors extra clean. I don't put anything other than water in the water-bottle for the mop - without the use of anything else; the floors do appear cleaned - and evidenced by the dirt on the pad. I might suggest purchasing a few extra pads so you can keep them clean. I toss mine in the wash - seems to work. Conclusion: I would recommend this model mostly for those who just want to give the ole' steam mop craze a try; you can't beat the price for a basic-simple model. I may upgrade one day but for now - this works fine.

Woww! it's great
don't normally write reviews but Ohh My! great performance! especially for the price. I can't afford to buy a wicked expensive professional high end steamer, so went for this. I did 4 rooms rinsing/hand washing the pad in between rooms. time consuming for first run but wanted to do it right as the directions instructed. tip.. take yr time with patience. a small area at a time, moving the mop slow, pumping the handle for good steam. as instructed go over the area numerous times (per directions 15 strokes), slowly. I broke it down to smaller patches of floor at a time. took a lot of breaks so I had patience. after the steam cleaning I mopped all the floors with my swiffer (reusable cloth pad) n pine sol to test how dirty the swiffer pad got as opposed to normally. huge difference! barely dirty swiffer pad, indicating the steam mop did the job. tested out barefoot & my floors feel soo smoothe n clean! also my house is high traffic from people and PETS. even with cleaning regularly the mop pad got verry dirty, i know it took a lot of dirt off the floors that normal cleaning just dont achieve. made a HUGE differences to crevices & edges where grime builds up. note: over time the floors will get even cleaner, can't expect perfection one round with built up dirt that hasn't been thoroughly cleaned by normal mopping. as time goes by can probably lighten up with the time spent & the repetitions. is plastic but thats a great thing, is light making it very easy to keep going! Just be careful not to bang it up or toss it around. reaches under furniture items great! manuevers with ease in all directions. wish the water reservoir was bigger had to refill several times, however as I said I took my time going over all areas numerous times, pumping out lots of steam. I will probably thoroughly steam mop the floors periodically, in between do normal mopping. have a new ceramic tile bathroom floor that per the instructions, I did not use the steam mop. if it's not coated or sealed it can discolor the ceramic. read all the directions. the cord is frustrating, in the way. i hold it up as i mop but for the price and performance i can deal with that. don't hesitate my house feels so clean n sanitized!

Ultra Clean Floors!
This is a great product! My floors feel so much cleaner. It heats instantly, has zero leakage, and it is super lightweight. The cord is nice and long too. It works great on my tile and wood floors.

A great little steam powerhouse.
Let me make one thing clear. After spending 10.5 years in the navy, I hate doing floors, and I especially hate mopping, or "swabbing the deck". That is why I've always looked for ways to minimize how much floor maintenance I have to do. I have spent way too much money on robot vacuums and mops to minimize my participation in floor maintenance. But let's be clear. Even the most expensive robot can't replace a good ole stick mop. Having tried sponge mops, string mops and even Swiffers, I found that all of them had big drawbacks. So it was with more than a little hesitation that I tried this steam mop from Shark. And to be fair, I picked it primarily due to it's price. It was one of the least expensive out there and had great reviews. And the idea of never having to buy disposable mop heads or specialized cleaner was pretty compelling. Not only that, a steam mop leaves no sticky residue, so it is truly requires no rinsing. What I didn't expect is how well this thing mops, and how easy it is to do so. The mopping action helps distribute the steam to the pad. The water container is easy to fill and attach, and the mop heads are secured via Velcro. It really is very easy to use. And effective. A couple of swipes with steam over the most stubborn stains and the stain is gone. This easily gets to the corners that my robot misses, and the reusable heads are easy to put in the washer and dryer. The extra long cord means you can cover quite a large area without having to unplug and plug in. And the lack of any type of rechargeable battery means you don't have to worry about replacing said battery after awhile. Sometimes simplicity wins the day, and as long as the heating element is good, there's not a lot of things on this mop that can fail. And even if it does, the replacement cost isn't that great. Are there other steam mops that are better, or have more attachments? Certainly. But for this price point you get an outstanding mop that is easy to fill, easy to operate and easy to maintain. And while my robo vacuum and mop gets most of the floor during a scheduled weekly mopping, my steam mop is easy to step in where the robot misses, or just easier to take out and deploy for an occasional quick cleanup.

Simple and effective.
I'm glad I purchased this model. I previously had a more complex model with the detachable steamer. Eventually the steamer would no longer attach to the handle, the mechanism wore out. This one is super simple. Put water in. Push down to make steam. It gives off plenty of steam. I'm confident that my floors are getting clean and there are no frills to get in the way of productivity. I will be purchasing more pads, as others have recommended.

Underwhelming Performance
Had a Shark Steam Mop (Light and Easy S3101?) for 10 years. Calcium buildup and two repairs later, she had to be retired. Bought this one thinking that the performance would be the same but it was not. The performance was underwhelming. You could probably get similar results with a spin mop or scrub brush and deterget. Most of the grime lifting (i've found) to be due to the scrubbing pads. The microfiber pad is both microfiber (white portion of pad) and scrubbing material (gray stripes). Since I have porcelain tile (living room and kitchen), I really need the steam power. The grime and dirt, in fact, do not completely lift with this pad. I needed to go back and forth a couple times because the steam and water wasn't enough, which ends up defeating the purpose of a larger water tank. It is also clear that Shark doesn't want you returning the product because they didn't include instructions for disassembling the handle, but it can be disassembled (thank you Youtube) for storage or, in my case, returns. For $50, it's probably fine for a small living area with wood or laminate or glazed tiles. If you have tile that you know grips dirt or have caked on grime you need to remove, try a different product. Pros: - lighter, more compact body and cord - stands on its own - larger water tank Cons: - shorter cord; wasn't able to reach across my living room without an extension cord - doesn't get very hot - low steam production and poor water distribution (not ideal for tile or hard stains, maybe ok for wood or laminate) TLDR: Performance sits slightly better than a spin mop

My husband loves it.
I have to say my method of cleaning the kitchen floor is to wrap a wet j-cloth round a broom and go over the floor with it. Housework isn't my forte. But my husband loves this gadget, and it seems to give him great pleasure to clean the kitchen floor with it, even when it doesn't need doing. Actually the mop thing seems to remove a good deal of invisible dirt, so obviously it needs doing more than I thought. The floor dries quickly, and you just throw the mop thing in the washing machine. Job done! As long as I don't have to do it. Edit: Having read the other reviews, I looked closer at the gadget, and it is true that you have to add a UK adaptor for the machine to work. Personally I would take a star off for this, but as I say, my husband loves it, and as he is the one who uses it, what can I say?

IM IN LOVE
Absolutely ADORE this thing! It comes with two floor pads so you can use it right away. I love that all you need is water and a wall outlet - no expensive, stinky, residue-leaving products to use. I can steam mop the floor and not worry about my pets licking their paws after walking on it. I can have my friend's kids over and not worry about them getting chemicals on their skin. The automatic steaming using the 'mopping' motion is absolutely fabulous - you don't have to pump the steam out or 'prime' it by squeezing the handle, it just auto-steams with the motion of the mop. It gets my floors SO clean, I couldn't believe the grime that came up after only one pass. I have light floors and I could even see a color difference after I went over it a few times. Trivial, but I also love the color - it even LOOKS clean! My one gripe is that the mop-heads get absolutely filthy and washing them doesn't seem to help so they will need to be bleached every couple months or so but... that's a common problem for most mops. I can't sing this thing's praises enough, I will never get another regular mop again!
