Gets the job done! Just as adverstised
I used this 5x and I didnt ready any instructions, I'm one of those guys. And it worked using common sense. As a landlord, this makes my job easier. This ladder is easy to travel with and extend as well as detract. I was initially concerned with it holding my weight 190 lbs. and it was sturdier than my Gorilla flex ladder. I will say that someone inexperienced with how adjustable ladder work and risk, they can be dangerous. For example, the way the ladder detract can injury your fingers if they are bet/w the ladders while collapsing. Again use common sense here folks. This ladder worked best for me to reach my roof latch with minimal space for a regular ladder on third floor. Was easy to carry up stairs and set up. No worrying about breaking windows or dropping tenant items in their patio since it is easy to carry when collapsed and light weight.

Almost perfect... but
I own a home inspection business and these ladders are essential to my business, because I quite honestly use this ladder in various (precarious) situations on a daily basis. Climbing three flights of stairs with a ladder is a potential liability for damage for me and climbing onto roofs is the most dangerous part of my job. This ladder is very light weight and easy to carry. The Velcro on this ladder is absolute garbage, it will work for maybe a couple weeks and then no stick at all. Good Velcro must be very expensive, because I've had several other ladders of this type that have the same issue. The good thing about this ladder is that the Velcro doesn't have to hold the ladder together when carrying it around. Other folding type ladders fully rely on the Velcro to keep it together and I had to use bungee cords to hold them together just to carry it. This one is not that way because you carry it from the bottom rung and the ladder extends upwards. So no issues when carrying the ladder... only when loading/unloading from my truck... but I can deal with that. Please get better Velcro! Annoying a heck. So the next issue when dealing with these types of ladders is the release mechanisms when folding down the ladder. This ladder is very good at collapsing the ladder. It is very easy to operate and the chances of getting your fingers smashed is lower than other ladders that I've owned. I used a ladder of this type (only) one time where it took me about four minutes just to collapse the ladder. But this one takes about 20 seconds or less. Very good design and so far so good after about 200 uses. I did have an issue with the bottom rung of this ladder not being fully secured upon first use. The first time I stepped on the bottom rung, it collapsed on one side and I didn't feel comfortable letting my client climb the ladder to see the attic in that situation. When I got home, used a rubber mallet to pound the bottom rung back into place and it's been good ever since. That seems to be a quality control issue. I almost returned the ladder, but I'm glad I didn't at this point. The last issue when buying this type of ladder is stability. For me, I am most concerned about climbing on rooftops and stability of the ground below. So first of all, do NOT place this ladder on a slick deck surface to climb onto a roof... that general rule applies to all ladders, but especially this one. If this ladder had extended supports at the base, it would be much better for roof climbing applications. But it has performed quite well when used cautiously. Flexion is the last issue when talking about this type of ladder. There are two types of telescoping ladders: the double section type that folds in half, and the single section type like this one. You really have to be careful in how you're positioning these types of ladders (mostly) based upon how high you're climbing. This ladder is very good for climbing on single story homes, but getting down is the bigger issue. When climbing down from any position, you will want to feel like the ladder is stable. This is where the folding ladders have an advantage because you'll be grabbing onto a larger (seemingly my stable) top end of the ladder. With this ladder it seems less stable when climbing down but the flexion when climbing the ladder is MUCH better. It's a trade off, but I prefer less flexion as this ladder provides. I could go on more but here is the deal: -Improve the Velcro (please) -Collapsing mechanisms are very good -Quality control for initial use needs improvement -Stability could be improved at the base with extensions If anyone comes up with a ladder similar to this one with all of these qualifications, please let me know. This is a very good ladder, but with these stated improvements it could be the best ladder.

Love these!
These are very light weight and versatile. We use them with a trailer that we mounted a rooftop tent to. We keep them mounted inside the trailer when not in use. The telescope up and down smoothly, they are light weight and easy to move around.

Very handy ladder.
This ladder has proven to be very handy for fieldwork. I use it frequently to access various structures, and it performs well. Itโs reasonably sturdy, easy to maneuver, and compact enough to fit in the trunk of my small SUV, which makes transport and storage a breeze.

Trustworthy, with actual use, 1+ years of ownership!
I had this exact ladder for one year and I love it. It is worth every penny Iโm a Contractor and I actually use this a lot and it is not falling apart. It is not rusting away. It works. It holds your weight and itโs trustworthy and to be honest, thatโs all that matters. It does the job and I feel extremely safe on it.

Not what i expected but ok.
That first step is too high if set up for shorter applications. Perfect if extended all the way.

Perfect for our RV
It came so fast. It is perfect for in our RV. Stows away and extends to the height we need. Quite sturdy. As one other person said, it does snap down fast and might pinch a finger, but you will remember for the next time. Fantastic. 5 stars
