Simple and effective for all clothing, bedding, furniture and hard floor surfaces. Great in homes, boats, RV's, kennels, catteries, rest rooms, and many other areas where odors exist. OdorXit Concentrate neutralizes the source of the odor. OdorXit can be safely sprayed onto any colorfast fabric, carpet, concrete, coolers, dirt, drywall, furniture, leather, plaster, plastic, refrigerators, skin, and wood. Review: Cat urine - What matters is how you mix it - This stuff is not cheap. I only works if you mix it correctly. I mix my odorxit in roughly a 15:1 ratio. That is 15oz of water and 1 oz of odorxit. If you buy a 32oz sprayer that is roughly 2 oz odorxit and 30 oz water to fill it up. Example given: Two brand new pair of sweat pants. Male cat who is litter trained (but always goes outside) had to stay inside due to excessive freezing temps and one of the kids accidentally closed the door to a bedroom where he was sleeping and was trapped in for a day. Poor guy. Tried washing with odorxit with one oz in the load, one time per the "washing instructions" and it did not remove the smell. I can see where this will get rid of sweat or BO etc but not cat urine. Cat urine is in a whole class of its own. :~) I mixed up 1 oz of odorxit and 15 oz of water in a spray bottle from tractor supply co (the bottles at most places suck, don't spray right) and sprayed the two pairs of sweat pants until they were damp, not soaking. Let the sweatpants sit for about two hours. The smell was neutralized, smelled like odorxit. Ran them through the wash with two rinse cycles and they were as good as new. I have not had to go to the 1.5 oz to 15 oz water ratio (that would be 10:1). For bigger applications, you can mix it in a 1 gallon yard sprayer from ace hardware same ratio 15:1 or 10:1 NO STRONGER THAN THAT. You can spray a hardwood floor, let it get into the cracks, and just let it dry naturally or where carpet was on a subfloor or whatever. The stuff works, you just have to mix it correctly. The instructions from the company are not in an "up front" place for cat urine. There are lots of instructions to mix it 30:1 for "pet urine" and other things which is fine. But that is not strong enough for cat urine. You really need to use 15:1 or possibly 10:1, no stronger. The stronger mixtureis listed as "pet spray" - not urine - in the odorxit bible. If you search for "odorxit bible" on google you will find the pdf. The directed mixture ratio for pet spray is even stronger than the mix they direct you to use for skunk spray so that should tell you something! I would suggest for "pet urine" dog or cat to go with the 15:1 ratio mix. :) ***** From the company website ***** OdorXit concentration for this application should be 1 to 1.5 ounces per 15 ounces of water, starting with the weaker solution. DO NOT USE ODORXIT CONCENTRATE UNDILUTED OR WITH LESS THAN 10 OUNCES OF WATER PER OUNCE OF ODORXIT CONCENTRATE. Many people believe that if a little will work well, a lot will work better. In the case of OdorXit this is conditionally true, at least for scent spray odor control. The downside is that the OdorXit smell often lingers for many days. Spraying unscented ammonia diluted at least 1 part of ammonia to 4 parts of water on an area that is retaining the OdorXit smell will help a lot. It made whole room stink. I tried everything, from the Miracle stuff they sell at Petsmart to straight up Isopropyl Alcohol. ( carpet Guy told me to pour that on it) The alcohol worked for a Bit but smell came back. It was BAD! I bought this stuff as a last resort before ripping carpet out. I Mixed it with water, as it is concentrated, But did less water, more cleaner, and just Poured on stain, so that it soaked carpet ( BERBER) and padding. Withn HOURS, the smell was gone, and a Freshing smell was in room. I use it to spray around the room now like febreeze. I dont have too, i just Like the smell. the URINE smell Never came back! Works pretty darn well!
The previous owners of our new house had a dog who apparently did its business wherever it pleased. The smell in the carpets was horrendous. I paid hundreds of dollars to two different carpet cleaning services and neither worked to get the smell out. I found this product online and decided to try it. I followed the mixing directions on the bottle and got on my hands and knees spraying the carpets twice with the solution. First, the product smells soooo good! Second, it worked pretty well. While the smell is not completely gone in areas (I'm going to spray again), the carpets smell MUCH better! This worked better than anything and I highly recommend it! I'm hoping a few more passes with this solution will do the trick. AND a little goes a long way!

Worked very well for me
My cat had peed on some clothes, and I made the horrible mistake of washing them with a load of other laundry--the entire load now had the distinct cat urine smell. I tried another product I had on hand that claimed to remove cat urine odor, following the instructions to soak the clothes for 20 mins in the washer with the product and then complete the wash cycle. It reduced the odor but it was still definitely there. I researched some more online and OdorXit was highly recommended, so I decided to give it a try rather than throwing out all the clothes. Similar instructions--put in some concentrate (a surprisingly small amount), soak (I probably let it sit for at least an hour), and run the washer. This time, absolutely no urine odor. We have a winner. Hopefully I won't need it again but I'll be turning to this product when I do. I also liked the included "odor bible" with explicit instructions for about every material and situation you can think of. The ingredients say that it contains just salts and essential oils, I'd certainly be interested to know what is in there.

It works!
I had roof rats due to construction. The rats left, possibly leaving behind some dead relatives and nests which created an ever present foul odor. It permeated my nostrils and I could smell it on my skin and hair. I could not breathe right in my own home.I tried everything and spent lots of money on expensive deodorizers and foggers. Nothing worked. I finally ordered Odorxit, it took three weeks to arrive because it was sent without a street address and I was on the verge of checking into a hotel. It arrived on March 13, on the 15th we sprayed the attic. Within hours the odor started to dissipate. I believe it is now completely gone. I ordered two 16 oz bottles (that's how desperate I was) and have only used 4 ounces. It works!
