EltaMD UV Clear Face Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide, Oil-Free, SPF 46 and SPF 50

Elta is a premium skincare brand recommended by dermatologists. This is a spf 46 stick sunscreen that appears yellow but gives your skin a pinkish cast like make-up and makes brown sun spots less noticeable but does not make them disappear. It’s a non-chemical formula that works well. Did not make me break out and is handy to keep in a pocket or purse. There are a few varieties including an untinted stick.

originally bought this sunscreen after struggling with heavier formulas that either clogged my pores or felt greasy under makeup. I’ve been using EltaMD UV Clear consistently for several months now, and I’m currently on my second bottle. I apply it every morning after my moisturizer before heading to work. It blends in quickly, doesn’t leave a white cast on my light-medium skin tone, and layers well under foundation. I also appreciate that it doesn’t sting around my eyes, even during long days outside or workouts. It’s ideal for anyone with sensitive or breakout-prone skin who wants reliable sun protection without heaviness.

Great sunscreen!! I was looking for a new sunscreen after I was prescribed tretinoin and sunscreen is a must! It hasn't broken me out and have noticed my skin tone is more even. I was having issues of the sunscreen pilling so my advice would be to pat into the skin first and then rub to fully blend it in. I do wear makeup everyday so applying this way makes my makeup lay so flawlessly. It has that sunscreen smell that lingers after application but it feels so hydrating that I don't always need to also use a moisturizer, applied right after toner and serums in the morning.

This sunscreen isn’t water resistant, so if you live somewhere really humid, sweat a lot, or are going to the pool or beach, I’d choose a different sunscreen for those days. That being said, I absolutely love it for everyday wear. I’ve used EltaMD UV Clear for years because it’s lightweight, doesn’t break me out, sits great under makeup, and feels amazing on my skin. Just keep the lack of water resistance in mind, and it’s honestly one of the best daily facial sunscreens out there.
