Easy to read - Auto off not nearly as annoying as I thought it might be
Bought this as I really like the large easy to read display. It replaced a Casio DR-270TM which I used daily at work for 6 years before the keys started not working all the time. I was apprehensive about the auto off... but all you have to do is tap the CA/on button for it to turn back on. I was worried I'd have to use the switch to turn it off and back on. Not the case and it is actually a nice feature as usually just left the old one on 24/7.

Casio is a great company
I have been using a Casion calculator for over 30 years and this is only the second one I have had to buy. Mime just died a few months ago and I ordered this one which was an upgrade and it works great. It has been improved from the one that died.

I like Casio layout
I am very happy with this machine's operation, the large lighted screen and the placement of the buttons. It is relatively quiet too. The one and only reason I did not give it a five is it's power saving feature of turning off after a period of no use. I have not found a way to reactivate the power other than turning it off and back on. I sure wish manufactures of products would let me decide how I want to save power and not force this silly tiny savings and irritating inconvenience on me.

The accountant's desktop calculator
My wife the accountant knows how to give a calculator a real workout, and after her old favorite was discontinued several years ago, and after considerable research and consideration of features and such, the Casio DR-270R has become her go to machine. She now owns/uses 3 of these on a regular basis and has equipped most of her staff with these. Rugged with the needed features and without a lot of useless bells and whistles. This is the one used by professionals - at least in our house.

Lightweight and easy to read
Liked availability to use by batteries (4 AA not provided) or A/C adaptor (provided). I like the lightweight, size and portability. Note: the paper provided is a mini so you'll have to buy separate rolls.

Do not buy if you want it to work !
Stupid 'feature' of power save - how much energy does a calculator use? Just leave it powered up and ready to go. No way to turn it to 'always on'. DO NOT BUY - This 'feature' makes it unusable in an office setting.

It shuts off automatically!!!!!
I really don't need it shutting down automatically all day long. It's so annoying to constantly have to turn it back on to work. I wish I had not gotten it.

So many features on the adding machine
I needed an adding machine for work and this one fits the bill. It does everything possible. Easy to use and prints well.
