PERFECT for writing on chalk-type boards. Easy to erase, the ink in these is quite bright white, so impossible to miss. 10x better than the small chalk markers that often come with chalk boards. Plus it's a 5 pack, so should last for some time.

I'm using these for glass storage containers (Sugar, Flour, etc.). So far, they have held up great and I haven't had to reapply the text. I've had the same labels on for about 2 months now, and they get a pretty good amount of use. Very minimal smearing from frequent use. The text is a little tricky to remove altogether, but I noticed that wetting a paper towel seemed to do the trick for me (maybe the chalk wasn't completely dry, not sure, but it came right off). I'm not too concerned about it, as I plan to simply replace the chalk decals if I run across this issue in the future. I can see where this may be an issue when using on a chalkboard or chalkboard wall. I'm not using this pen for a chalkboard, so for stickers, I couldn't be happier with the sharp clean lines (almost like white marker). A+

The marker itself is fine, but it is FLUORESCENT yellow, not BASIC yellow. I needed a basic yellow for a rainbow and this color didn't "fit." Just so you know exactly what color you are getting.

I bought these markers to use on an A-frame chalkboard sign after initially buying regular chalk. I realized very quickly that the chalk would not stick well to my chalkboard's smooth surface, but I didn't want to use paint or anything permanent. I was glad to find these chalk markers. They write easily, just like paint pens, but remove effortlessly with a wet paper towel, leaving no trace behind. The dried product does not smudge or wipe off as easily as regular chalk; it requires water. 5 stars for paint-like coverage and easy clean-up!!! (I have included a photo comparing the regular chalk and the chalk markers.)

Needed a different marking method for our Darts Scoreboard since. Dry Erase & Regular Chalk didn't work well on the Bub Board we were using. Found the Liquid Chalk online & they work great on a Green Eraseable Board. Need to use Rubbing Alcohol & Microfiber Small Rowell to remove. Some colors didn't show up well, but white, yellow & orange. Potential to permanently stain, so we wipe with alcohol when the Dart Game is over!

My original review was to say not to buy these. I was going to give a 1 star review but after some fiddling with technique its apparent that you need to push the ink tips in while you write. This is not an easy light push either. You have to push in faily hard to get it to write on glass and constantly keeping the pen in the upward and not relaxed position you would as with a marker. So from a 1 to a 3 because the usage limits what you can do with these. If i were to draw something larger than a letter the tips would stop being supplied with ink and cause dry drag and looks terrible. So advice, either find a pen that has actual pressurized ink so flow is always consistent and give these to your kids because even writing or designing like I do on glass will instantly stop your creative flow when the ink stops flowing. I also noticed my fingers and palm have ink on them now, I even wear an artist glove so i'm not dragging my hand on wet ink. They do dry really fast and wipe off with a dry rag fairly well. You do need to wet another rag or spray on cleaner if you want all the pigment to come off. It leaves hard stubborn globs randomly on the glass. Yes the glass is cleaned quite well before writing on it. With the tips really loose, im guessing the ink slops out a bit, the pen itself has a fairly messy amount of ink on the case where my hand would hold the pen. Its covered my index finger with ink. So get a pressurized pen, these are not at all useful for me.

The chalk is very very difficult to erase so kind of beats the purpose or getting chalk over paint

I originally bought these to draw a Christmas village on my windows during the holidays, but they ended up being useful for so much more. I also used them to write our guests' names on their glasses when we hosted Christmas dinner. The markers work really well—the ink flows smoothly, is nice and opaque, and shows up beautifully on glass.

Better than chalk

Use these with our food trailer for menu boards. Work great. Can be hard to clean off if you don’t do it before storing.
