I do love this green tea, it has an excellent flavor and I feel this is good value for BiLouChun. I have a large tea collection (loose leaf) and this is basically my go to every morning. I've been ordering this for a couple of years now and the quality seems to be consistently good.

I will echo another review— today is June 26, 2024. The tea I received was manufactured on April 20, 2023. While technically not expired, most of us who drink tea often would be disappointed. Edit: As of July the seller had sent another fresh tea, with a complimentary sample- thank you! It is the fresh, flavorful tea that I expected as per description. I would recommend the brand and purchase again. The seller explained they can’t control what the warehouse sends. While it is frustrating the seller does not have this quality control, because if the same situation happened I would have to contact them again, I do understand. They sell quality tea and I would recommend supporting them. I recommend Amazon to contribute to alleviating this issue for the seller.

Tastes great but I found a plastic string 2 in long in the bag. I don’t mind I know it’s probably from packaging transport etc but check before you steep

I ordered the B grade Biluochun, and it is quite nice at this price point. You can tell the leaves are young, from a fairly early picking, and there is a nice amount of intact/whole leaf. The taste is much like other young leaf green teas. Delicate, fruity, slightly floral. When brewed lightly, this reminded me a lot of Anji Baicha (a white tea). The wet-leaf aroma is nice, fresh fruit and steamed greens. Better than I expected from a B grade, and a nice way to try out one of China's most famous teas. I recommend short steeps. I used a gaiwan, and found 15 seconds per steep to be plenty. Much more and the infusion got a bit astringent.

update - the seller was great to work with. They contacted me and clarified that there were still some tea stayed in the amazon warehouse. because the tea was fulfilled by amazon, so they have no control what tea Amazon would send. They resolved the issue for me in no time. I definitely appreciate a seller like this! Today is June 25, 2023. The tea I received was manufactured on April 25, 2022. While technically it is not expired, but most of us who drink tea often would be disappointed. And I was certainly very disappointed. The tea doesn’t have the fresh smell. I would not purchase again

Included in this package is an airtight 3.5 ounce bag of Grade B BiLuoChun Green Tea loose leaf tea. Also included is a bag clip and a small sample of Osmantus & Oolong Loose Leaf Tea. Grade B is apparently a broken leaf blend typically used in a breakfast style tea. I personally brew one teaspoon of these tea leaves per cup at 185 degrees and steep for four minutes. Green tea should always be brewed at less than boiling to avoid a bitter taste. The brew is a pale yellow and the aroma and taste is fresh and vegetal. It definitely tastes healthy. I have not tried the sample tea yet but I look forward to it. This should be stored in a cool dry place at 18 degree Celsius (equivalent to 64.4 degrees Fahrenheit). Since I keep my house at 57 degrees, I can store this at room temperature. Although they say this can be steeped three times, I never do that. Typically this would be brewed in a gaiwan such as this one , which is why it would be steeped three times because this holds only a few ounces. I personally like this tea and its subtle vegetal flavor, so I rate this 4 stars. My boyfriend loves this tea and rates it 5 stars. I feel the current price of $13.49 is typical for tea of this grade. PS I also tried the one teabag sample of the Oolong tea. I steeped it 3-4 minutes at 212 Fahrenheit. The brew is amber and the flavor is vegetal and very good.
