These bowls have many uses. They are the perfect size for mixing spices and for small-sized snacks. They were delivered promptly and had no defects. The bowls have a nice weight and should last.

I use these little cups every day for various things from holding ingredients while cooking, to serving bits of food to my kids, to melting butter, to holding sauces for dipping. They're great and dishwasher safe. It's pyrex with the lower case letters

Love these for custard as indicated in the title as well as for a prep. My son also uses them for chocolate lava cake. Just be sure when you’re purchasing that you’re getting the kind that are safe to put in the oven cause there are two types.

Cute and a great size for sides when we don’t want corn/green bean etc. juice getting other food soggy. We don’t use the kids often, but it’s nice to have them.

I use these for all kinds of things, I have even made custard in them (OK, not the most recent ones I bought but I've been using this style for 50+ years). I routinely use them for checking eggs before addition to a recipe, melting butter, small servings of soft food like ice cream or yogurt, holding small items like beads when working on a craft project or small amounts of volatile liquids like essential oils. I use one to bake the leftover filling when I make pumpkin pie. The design hasn't changed in all the years I've owned them, so the new ones match the ones my kids haven't managed to lose. As far as I know, none of them have been broken. They are thick enough to resist breakage from a normal drop, although I don't recommend throwing one at a concrete floor. They are glass after all.

These custard bowls are much heavier and a tiny bit bigger than your grandma's custard bowls. They will work fine. What didn't work so well for me was the way they were packaged in the box. 4 cups shrink wrapped as 1 unit ( I ordered 2 units) put in a bubble wrap bag that was too big. The two units were free to roll around in side the bubble bag. This bubble bag was put in a box that was too large for safe packing. When I received my box, 1 of the individual cups had broken while still shrink wrapped. I did not want to nit pic so did not return the broken piece. I now have 7 cups instead of the 8 that I ordered all because someone has NO IDEA how to properly package glass items for shipping.

These little bowls are so handy in the kitchen! To hold measured ingredients like herbs and spices for meal prep; for sauces on the table; to melt butter in the microwave; etc. I use one on the counter to hold my wet teabag until it dries out for the trash. They are the high quality you'd expect from Pyrex. And the little fluted edges are pretty! The price for this quantity was excellent, too.

Excellent size for small portions of side dishes or dipping sauces. Sturdy and heat resistant so you can heat in the microwave.
