Automatic fish feeder
So far this feeder has been working perfectly. Very easy to program for the feedings. I would recommend this feeder.

Definitely the BEST fish feeder
I bought one of these to feed my baby angelfish while I traveled for a week over the holidays. I found it to be easy to set up and install, and am amazed at how QUIET it is! It's so quiet that I found myself staring at it at the appointed feed times just to make sure it really was working...sure enough it's been 100% reliable. The instructions are not great but it's easy enough to figure out how to set it up. I came home from my week of travel to find my angels fat and happy...it's cute how they all hang out underneath it waiting for the food to magically appear. You probably can not have a glass lid on your tank if you want to use this product. I'm always concerned about my fish jumping out so I got around this by using a sheet of plastic egg-crate (ceiling grid) from Lowes, cutting it to the size of the tank, and cutting out a rectangle for the feeder...worked perfectly. Since my juvenile angels need to eat several times a day I have left the feeder on the tank even though I'm not currently traveling. I think the consistent feed times and food amounts have really contributed to their growth. I love this feeder so much I just bought a second one for another tank of juvie angelfish. I crush up a combination of blackworm flakes and brine shrimp flakes, fill up the feeder, set it and forget it...easy peasy. Also, I love that it is rechargeable. The first one I bought back in December has only been charged once..now it is mid-February and the battery display shows that the battery is still 3/4 full! This product is WAY better than the Eheim model. You can't go wrong with this feeder.

Not for Smaller Aquariums
I tested this on a 20G long rimless and 30G rimmed aquarium. I found that it works well and as advertised, but requires a lot of aftermarket help to work with smaller aquariums. Pros: The feeder is great overall. The rechargeable battery is a nice and stays charged for weeks (depending on feeding schedule). The feed timer and scheduling (up to 3 times a day) work well for a variety of needs. The adjustable outlet on the hopper allows you to fine tune your feed volume. Good for use with larger (40 gallons+) aquariums and small ponds. Cons: The feeder is bulky; I would not use this for aquariums smaller than a 40 gallon breeder or 55 gallon tank because it looks a bit disproportionate, the feeding amounts are harder to get right, and the mounting is a hassle. The hopper rotates to dispense food, causing food to drop across the entire diameter of the hopper, which means you'd better have enough open access to water below it to avoid food littering your aquarium cover, rim, and/or floor. The mounting hardware is poorly designed. The clamp is cheap and attaches poorly to rimmed aquariums (yanno, the most common type). You're better off mounting something to your aquarium that the clamp can then mount to. The output slot on the hopper opens from the end furthest from the base. This adds quite a bit of reach to where food is actually dropped over the aquarium which makes it a poor choice for smaller aquariums or those with covers.

Charge It Up ONCE a Year!
The most ridiculously long-life auto feeder you’ll ever need!! We’ve had this feeder for about two years now because after many years of two married ADHDers asking every night, “did you feed the fish today?” And neither of us being able to confidently answer that question more often than not, we decided we needed a fish-feeding assistant that was more reliable than ourselves… Pros: The battery life on one charge can last upwards of ONE YEAR. I have literally charged it twice. Once when we bought it and once some time however many months ago…it’s still fully charged. It feeds the fish every day at the same time. You don’t have to worry that you’ve starved the fish… Cons: the attachment point isn’t the most sturdy thing? But it holds - just don’t over-tighten. You do have to remember to refill the feeder - but it’s way easier to notice that than remember if you fed them today…wait did I?? Overall??? AMAZEBALLS!! Highly recommend for my fellow frequent-traveling, ADHD, parents of young toddler commandants. God speed and happy feeding.

Fits a 5 gallon tank that has rims on it
I have originally had the green ones. I wanted to check to see if it worked so I sent the timer to see if it would go off. It works perfect. The price was actually more reasonable than when I first bought the first one which was wonderful.

It spilled a ton of food in to my tank at once
I am not a fan! Im going to the beach for 5 days and i set it up to feed my fish 1 time a day. I had it practically closed and it dumped a ton of food in to my tank! Its a mess! Not to mention confusing to set it up. Not a good product

Reasonable product-horrible instructions!
Once you figure out how to charge and operate this fish feeder, it does a good job at what it is supposed to do. Unfortunately, the instructions are terrible. Although easy to figure out, there is no mention of how to charge the feeder. The worst is that there is absolutely no explanation of how it works! I almost broke it trying to separate the plastic pieces until I realized it rotated in a circle and you had to slide the small "door" open to allow food to fall out. Because of water that splashes due to water return from my filter, some moisture gets inside the feeder and dissolves some of the food. In addition, the clamp to hold to the side of the tank does not give a lot of flexibility and I had to improvise, clamp it to a piece of wood and attach that to the tank. Once I sorted all of that out, it seems to be working well. My other criticism is that (in part due to the moisture that gets in) it is a challenge to estimate how much the "door" needs to be open to regulate the amount of food per feeding. Be aware that you are not able to set a specific time when feedings occur (only the interval)-or, if you can, it is not explained in the instructions.

Good product
I bought two units for my two fish tanks (30 litres with about 25 danios in each tank). I connected the feeders to the power socket (not sure what is battery life per charge). The feeders kept my fishes alive for a month in my absence.

Vraiment bien

Work for about 10 day than...
Update my in law is crazy and this feeder works absolutely fine. After getting home and inspecting the feeder it works perfectly except for a bit of incandescent feed amount. I think pellets maybe more consistent. I manually dispensed 3 weeks worth of food with no problems. Sorry for the initial comments they were from a skewed point of view. Me and my wife got this as we would be at the cottage for a couple months. We have a family member checking in once a week and all was great. Till yesterday when we received a panicked in law say the drum did not stop turning and emptying all the food in to the tank clogging are pump and filling the tank with food. I'd love to send this piece of junk back but I'm up north 5 hours drive home. It would cost me $50 just to get there. We're horribly disappointed in this product and NOT recommend this to anyone. It's just not worth the risk. Even if it was 1 in 100 units that do this and the rest are fine do you want to be that 100th unit? Just telling like it is.
