Great adapter for an old car!
This adapter is great but it does require a bit of patience. Static: I’ve noticed that when I am within 1/4 mile of a radio tower there is static, but when I am farther from a radio tower the sound is clear. We live in a rural area so the radio towers tend to be 10-15 miles apart. Also, you should turn the volume on your phone/mp3 all the way up, then adjust the volume on your cassette player. Stops working: My adapter stopped working after about 2 weeks and I was bummed, BUT with a little bit of research and troubleshooting it is back in action. Blow on the cassette player and on the adapter, manually wind the two gears with your finger for a couple seconds, and wipe off the metal piece. Good to go!

Worked well and sounds good on Audible and podcasts from my IPhone .
I remember this type of adapter from many years ago. I was surprised that they were still available but I have an old car with a cassette and no usb/aux capability. This filled the bill and has great sound although it is only on one side of the car. I think I can remedy this with balance on the stereo but I haven’t tried since podcasts and audible books sound fine on it and that is what I listen to most of the time. Connected easily with a usb C adapter to the cassette and it also connected to a usb C charger at the same time.

Rattles with bass but you get what you pay for
First, it's $10 so my complaints can't be high. I have audio for directions and streaming music in my 2004 Land Cruiser so this did the job. My only complaint is that it rattles during the bass of any song - and I mean any. I listen to primarily indie music and some light EDM (think Odessa) and even the bass during indie songs, which is very low, causes the cassette's internals to rattle which somehow translates through the speakers. I was actually freaked out that my car had a new rattle, but I tested an old tape cassette and the radio and it completely went away, it's this cassette adapter. Everything else sounds crystal clear, I would even say surprisingly good, but bass is a no go. I actually am ordering a second to see if I get the same rattle and if so, crack it open and look at the internals and possibly swap out some internals from a blank cassette or add rubber washers to make it stop because it's pretty annoying. But at the same time, I can hear my directions while driving and I can stream music for $10 (I'm only spending the extra $10 as "an experiment") so I'll still consider this one a win. Can't rate lower that 4 stars when I did a cheap workaround instead of installing a new head unit. So "you get what you pay for" here.

Great Quality and No Static Issues So Far
I bought it to see what it was like because I read mixed reviews the mind came well packaged, well-cared-for and when I tried it for the first time yesterday, it worked super well. There were no issues with static noises or it's skipping and I even left it on in my car when I got out of it. And when I turned my car back on the music still played well, it didn't cause any issues so far and the music is very clear, like I was hoping for it to be, and it does not sound outdated.

Piece ok JUNK !!!!!!!!!!
I’ve been using car audio cassettes for 40 years. I found one I bought probably 20 years ago unopened. I have a 1997 vehicle that I bought New. It still runs perfectly fine. It has a cassette player in it and I’ve been using cassette adapters for many years. I decided to open the 20 year old one and use it because the one that I was using is about 7 years old. Still works but I thought I’d give it a break. So before putting in the 20 year old one, I ran the head cleaning tape in to freshen up the stock deck. I do that periodically. So I put the 20 year old one in and it works flawlessly. Excellent sound quality, no clicking sounds etc. Because the 20 year old on was the last NEW one I had, I decided to buy another one to have on hand. So after quite a bit of research, I decided on the Arsvita car audio cassette. Not the Bluetooth version just one with an aux cord. It arrived 3/12. So I decided to see if by chance over the years technology may have improved, I brought it out to the car and put it in. All it did was self eject. Over and over again. So I went in and “YouTubed” it and found several solutions that seemed logical. Over 40 years I never had to do anything like this but I guess technology has changed, for the worst in this case. I tried everything I could find on YouTube, I took it apart took out the “reverse” wheel, that didn’t work. I took it back apart to more options I learned on YouTube. NOTHING but NOTHING would work. I finally just to it and threw it in the garbage. Save yourself all the headaches, never buy Arsvita products.

It's better than nothing
The cord is short and it makes various sounds when in use

Great quality!
I picked up this cassette tape aux adapter not expecting much, but it honestly surprised me. Setup was super simple just plug the cord into your phone, pop the cassette into the deck, and you’re good to go. The sound quality is way better than I thought it would be, especially for something that works with older car stereos. It’s not perfect you might hear a faint static if you turn it up really loud but for everyday use, it gets the job done. It’s been a lifesaver for my older car since I don’t have Bluetooth. The cord is a decent length and doesn’t feel flimsy, and the cassette itself fits snug without any issues. If you’re looking for an easy, budget-friendly way to play music from your phone in an older vehicle, this is definitely worth it.

Highly recommend
After reading reviews I was nervous but decided to try it for my own experience. It works really well compared to others Ive used. The cable is thick, the previous ones were thin and would break at the bend near the jack itself. This particular one, the cable is thick, the jack is guarded so hopefully no breaks will occur. But, overall highly recommend and would buy again.

Works great in my 98 GMT400
My old Kenwood radio in my gmt400 absolutely slaps the base with this deck. A must have for a music lover on a budget with a beater. Can't beat full stereo output! Amazing product and I would absolutely recommend for anyone who likes using their retro radio like me. Don't waste your money on any other proprietary AUX tape deck.

7/10 really
Was excited to receive this object however I’m not sure if it due to me using a headphone to type c port but the sound quality wasn’t as good as I’d hoped for.
