I have been searching for a healthy energy drink for a while now. Let's face it, we all need a boost once in a while. For me, it started when I began martial arts. The downside to most energy drinks is unhealthy caffeine and sugar kicks, which can take a toll on your body. The great thing about Guru is that it is a natural, low calorie energy drink. It even uses Stevia, which is a much healthier alternative to aspartame and sucralose. Guru tastes good too. I bought my first case of Guru back in December 2010, and I just bought my second case. I haven't tried the new Guru 2.0 yet, because it is a bit pricier; however, I am fully satisfied with Guru Lite.

Amazing taste and very effective! I bought this energy drink for my girlfriend. She's vegan and this her favorite pre-workout energy drink. I tried it for the Lite for first time and fell in love! I work late nights at the office sometimes and this kept me going. GURU Lite is very tasty and refreshing, especially on a hot day. Unlike most Stevia sweetened drinks, the taste is well balanced with no bitter aftertaste. There's a nice lemony flavor and the carbonation is on-point. I don't usually drink energy drinks, but this one is an exception to the rule. It's organic, low calorie, non-GMO and contains ingredients that I can actually trust. Another big bonus I noticed is that I did not experience a crash afterwards. I read that this has to do with the fact that they use naturally-occurring caffeine from Green Tea and Guarana. I don't know why you would drink any other energy drink than this. Definitely loading up on these again soon!

I have tried many different energy drinks over the past 4 years and have come to the conclusion that Guru is the best. First, it is the most natural with NO Taurine, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Aspartame, Sucralose, Crystaline Fructose, fancy preservatives, or various other chemical sludge concoctions under the guise of natural and artificial flavoring. Second, it tastes great with no weird aftertaste, and it provides a nice energy boost for about an hour which is great prior to a workout. I actually read the labels on every food or drink product I consume, and I have not found another energy drink that is more natural. I have been ordering cases of Guru Energy Drinks through Amazon for 2 years and will continue to do so.

If you're anything like me, you have a busy life, and getting 8+ hours of sleep every night just doesn't happen. You need something to get through your day, and the proliferation of mass-market energy drinks has led you to chugging one, two, three or even more in a day! Not good! I know my own Bed Rull (clever!) drinking was getting out-of-control, and it was having a serious impact on both my health and my wallet. In my desperation for a source of healthier, more cost and eco friendly energy, I turned to my local natural grocery store and found this: GURU Lite. Made with Stevia instead of all those "let's all wait for the news story about the horrible health impacts" artificial sweeteners, and containing only ingredients you can actually pronounce (sparking water, lemon juice, cane juice, guarana seed, luo han gua juice, steevia, echinacea, ginko, ginseng)it sounded pretty promising. But what about the energy? Well it works, I took my first sip, went "oh well, crap, doesn't work" and then 2 minutes later I was awake! No jitters, no "surge-o-epic caffeine" - just awake. It's refreshing, if you're used to the "wired wired wired wired zing zoom bzzzzz crash!" of normal energy drinks, get ready for one that actually just makes you feel like yourself. Not wired, not tired, not cranky, not crazy, just a couple extra hours of focus as YOU! But what about the flavor? GURU Lite is best described as "not bad", I like it room temperature, you may prefer it chilled. Unlike those commercial heart-attacks-in-a-can, GURU focused on health over sugar-load, so expect a slightly lemony, earthy herbal taste. It is not by an means bad tasting, but it's not like liquid candy, it's a simple, natural flavor that doesn't overwhelm or make you want to chug twenty of them. You drink this for the health and energy, and the taste is secondary. I don't want you to think "oh it tastes bad..." because it doesn't, it's just the taste is definitely not the focus, it's not a soda, it's more like a glass of water - you drink it because you're thirsty, and this, you drink because you are tired and want to be awake. What about the cost? Well, Amazon has the best deal around. I chose the subscribe-and-save option and came home to find a box, wrapped in a clear plastic wrap to protect against rain, two days later. Inside was my case of GURU (which looks exactly like the picture). I found with GURU not only am I drinking fewer of them than I did with Bed Rull, but I'm able to sleep better and of course I'm ending each month with tons of cash in my pocket that is no longer being spent on over-priced, junk-laden commercial "energy". And the best part? I have all the energy I want at hand in a far, far healthier package. Give it a shot today, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I've only every tried the Lite version. The closest thing I can compare this to is a tart partially sweet cherry with a slight puckering bite to it. If that sounds like your thing, this is the energy drink for you! Between the 2g of sugar and tart flavor it seems to counter the overly sweet aftertaste that stevia can have. I discovered this while searching for a guarana focused energy drink as I wanted to avoid caffeine crashes like you get from a red bull. I've found that this gives me an amazingly leveled out energy boost and zero crash. All in all, as long as they don't increase the price this will continue to be a staple for me! I really like this natural energy drink. I was drinking zero calorie Steaz Energy, but they only have one zero calorie flavor (berry) and I am tired of it. So I decided to try something new. Guru Lite has a great flavor, 10 calories, and is sweetened with Stevia. It is a little on the sweet side, but I usually just have one or two 8.4 ounce cans in a day. Each can has 125 mg of caffeine and gives me the pick-me-up I need without feeling like I'm wired.

I was on the sugar free energy drink kick for the longest time... I knew sucralose (Splenda) was causing me problems as any artificial sugar will do over time. So I searched and searched and this is the only energy drink that uses Stevia instead of artificial sugar as a sweetener. The taste isn't that bad and I drink them at room temperature. People used to sugary drinks (which I can't stand at all) probable won't like the taste. But if you are use to diet drinks and can learn to like different taste this drink would be the healthy energy drink to switch too. I just wished they made Guru energy shots. WHI IS MY RATING SO LOW??? THE PRICE...it was $32..now it jumped to $50...I won't be buying anymore....WHY AMAZON WHY???

In brief, it's mid February 2022 and just received my replacement 24x 8.4 oz can delivery. The one's received a couple weeks ago were unfortunately already expired last month : ( sorry to be one of those critical shoppers when it comes to a drinkable product. But a quick update: the newly received free replacement are good to go and are already benefiting my daily enduring healthy performance levels in my day to day work and life. (note: I don't drink coffee, thank you, merci) ! Please understand that I didn't take the effort and time to post this negative feedback because I don't like this product. I'm in fact a repeat satisfied customer. Just providing a heads up to fellow fans or potential new buyers of this product to indeed check the bottom of the can for the date, prior to consuming as normal. So please disregard the below comment made from a couple weeks ago ... Note: I've requested a replacement delivery which is now 'being processed' and upon receiving the replacement 24 can delivery and checking the date, I'll revise this review accordingly -- hopefully to the upside!
